Bluetooth Device Support
Hi,
I want to create a virtual hci device on my virtual machine. I have seen
that qemu has options supporting this
https://qemu.weilnetz.de/doc/qemu-doc.html#Bluetooth_0028R_0029-options
and
https://qemu.weilnetz.de/doc/qemu-doc.html#pcsys_005fusb
Is there any support for these options in libvirt? I was not able to find
anything in documentation so I added the qemu command line xml as follows

qemu-system-x86_64 does not support fw_cfg option
...gestions is to pass config info into the VM
using the "fw_cfg" option . When I try this I get the error "-fw_cfg
invalid option". If I run the vm with the help option it does not list
the fw_cfg option. However, according to the qemu documentation, see
here
<https://qemu.weilnetz.de/doc/qemu-doc.html#Debug_002fExpert-options>,
they support this option.
The command used to run the vm is:
/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -name CL-IGN-1 -m 1024 \
-net nic,vlan=0,model=virtio \
-net user,vlan=0,hostfwd=tcp::2222-:22,hostname=CL-IGN-1 \
-drive if=...

Locking without virtlockd (nor sanlock)?
Hi list,
I would like to ask a clarification about how locking works. My test
system is CentOS 7.7 with libvirt-4.5.0-23.el7_7.1.x86_64
Is was understanding that, by default, libvirt does not use any locks.
From here [1]: "The out of the box configuration, however, currently
uses the nop lock manager plugin". As "lock_manager" is commented in my
qemu.conf file, I was

...lock disk image files to prevent
corruption from processes outside libvirt scope (ie: manually issues
"qemu-img" commands).
Do you suggest relying on Qemu own locks or using virtlockd (in addition
to Qemu locks)? Whatever the answer is, can you explain why?
Thanks.
