...ns I have tried to troubleshoot this for a couple days... I've run out of ideas. I must be missing something simple (hopefully). I think that this worked at one time, but now I'm not sure. The server that issued the above errors is a member server of the domain. I'm login in from a W98se system. The windows login works fine, the domain login works fine, the boot-up script window shows it self, but I cant login to mount the share from the member server. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am trying to allow printing from my linux box to my win98 box, to which my epson stylus printer is attached. It's just not happening...something tells me I'm flirting with a world of pain. I *can* print a file by going: smbclient //rory/EPSON translate print /etc/group but I cannot print from applications, nor can i use smbprint. I tried going: cat /etc/passwd | sh -x smbprint

Has anyone had any success in getting Quicken's internet stuff to run? Q99 is installed in a W98SE partition accessed from RH7.1 using the wine build supplied with the distribution. Hello, I've been trying to get part of a disk visible from a HP J5600 Unix machine (hostname = oed209, IP = 192.168.33.209) running HP-UX 10.26 and Samba v1.9.18p7 to a MicronPC XKE Laptop (hostname = oed123, IP = 192.168.33.123) running W98SE. Net masks on both machines are set to 255.255.255.0. Neither machine uses DHCP. Hostnames, their aliases, and their IP addresses are defined on both machines (/etc/hosts and c:\windows\hosts) and they both agree. I can ping each machine from the other. 1.
