rsync over ssh - existing files are not updated?
...y I needed one of those backups, and I found out it is useless since a lot of files never got updated. Even when I enable checksums some files are not updated. I am pretty sure I am missing something, but am not sure what it is. This is (a stripped version of) the command I use: rsync --stats -vvvvvvv -xaz --append --delete-during --delete-excluded /etc/profile.d backup at server:client/etc/ In this example, the server has an older version of the file 'mozilla-common.sh', but this file does not get updated. I have attached the logfile of this command. With checksums enabled, some fil...

FWD IAX Problem
...is my asterisk setup. The problem is that I can dial out to fwd subscribers, even myself but they can't dial me using my FWD number. I don't know much about IAX, but it would seem to me like a registration problem, but I get no errors or warnings in the asterisk console, running under -vvvvvvv all IAX stuff seems fine. I have other IAX connections (local iaxy, iaxtel, and a connection to my brothers *) that work fine. I see this under -vvvvvv: -- Registered IAX2 to '65.39.205.121', who sees us as 68.146.107.231:4569 Watching my external interface, I see the IAX registra...

Asterisk not outputting real time display
For almost 6 months now I've upgraded Asterisk every couple of weeks or so and I've never had this problem. When I'm at the asterisk console (asterisk -r) it shows me live status. Who called who, what it's playing and when, etc. It logs to the screen. When I type reload, it says "added so and so to so and so context" gives me some long display as it reloads. But

maybe i have solved this issue, i unplugged APC BackUPS from USB 2.0 and PLUGGED INTO USB 3.0 and now it works prefectly at first time without any side effects, strange, this shoud be working since USB 1.0 so ups driver is configured OK, this config works ok for backups, this looks like there is no problem with detection of UPS but with USB driver or something around so simply if somebody has

According to man page, the only way it can return EINVAL (22) is either bad filter, or bad timeout. I can't see how the filter would be bad, so I'm guessing ts must be bad. Unfortunately I forgot to ask for it, so I am going to have to ask you run it again and run p ts if that's valid, then the only thing that can be bad if the file descriptor 23.
