No, there's no configuration setting. And no way to turn it off. Patrick
Volkerding wrote about this some time ago in Slackware's ChangeLog.txt,
explaining he decided to upgrade this single piece of software
mid-release just to get rid of the nagging warning screen.

coming days and see what I come up with. If I understand well, I should
check that even with "-eltorito-platform Mac" in the mkiosfs command,
isohybrid doesn't complain any more, right?
If that works I could suggest to Parick Volkerding to upgrade the cdrtools
Slackware package in Slackware-current (upcoming Slackware release).
About mixing with Syslinux 6.03-pre19 (or newer) as suggested in your
previous post... Yes, the scripts/receipts for using Syslinux 6.xx in
Slackware would need changes and I am very doubtful that Patrick...

But still, before kindly requesting Patrick Volkerding to blacklist nouveau in -current for the time being, I wanted to now of another way to go if possible.
Thanks in advance for your answers,

Syslinux 6.03, kernel not relocatable.
...it surprised because the kernel shipped
in DVD installers for Slackware64-14.1 can boot on UEFI.
By the way this is exactly same kernel that I shipped in the Slint
USB installer that failed, and also with in the hybrid ISO images
of the Slint installer, that ship an EFI bootloader built by Patrick
Volkerding with grub-mkimage.
So one more question: why can one boot with a GRUB EFI bootloader
but not with the SYSLINUX bootloader, using the same kernel?
More accurately, I know why: because of the aforementioned patch, but
then, why is this test needed in SYSLINUX only?
Best regards,
Didier

If it?s easy, why doesn?t your nirvana distro already exist?
It?s because it *isn?t* easy. It?s actually work. Lots of it. Go ask Patrick Volkerding how much work it is to create a *successful* Linux distro that works differently from all the others.

Hi,
I'm currently moving all our local school's desktop clients from
Slackware 14.1 to CentOS 7 + Xfce. Right now I'm fine-tuning the default
user profile.
I have a problem with XScreenSaver. The application per se works very
well. Only there's a hard-coded pop-up window that reminds the user that
he's not running the latest version. So, if I'm running version 5.36 as
