Availability of T400P and E400P
...A Solution now exists for those of you still looking for the first model of Quad T1/E1 Interface Cards - the T400P and E400P.
The T400P and E400P were manufactured by Digium until a few months ago, and were designed and released under the GNU Public License as the
Tormenta II by Zapata Telephony.
Varion, Inc. is now in full production manufacturing these boards. With the Tormenta back in production, those with significant
investments in T400P or E400P designs will no longer be required to modify their designs. New systems that do not require
bus-mastering (which Digium's new card supports) c...

E400P vs te410p vs te411p
Hi,
I found E400P quad PRI card quite cheap (749USD):
http://www.govarion.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=2&osCsid=68cdd6e3d08754
in comparison to te410p (approx 1500 USD )

Now newer generation with HW echo canceling emerged (te411p).
I'm not sure in what...

Does Asterisk support T1 E&M Wink/Wink voice channels on any Digium/Sangoma hardware?
Hi,
Did anyone manage to connect either Digium or Sangoma T1 card to any other
PBX/gateway using T1 E&M Wink/Wink signaling? I'm trying to connect Avaya
Definity to an Asterisk box with T100P and so far no luck. (I know I can do
so with ISDN PRI, but need an additional ISDN processor card for Definity.)
I tried to connect Definity to Cisco 3640 CCME (call manager express) to
test the link

Sangoma card A101 Card troubles.
Hiya all,
I have had no end of trouble trying to get my A101 E1 card working on
a new asterisk installation. The sangoma tech people have ignored my emails
about this.
All the installation of wanpipe seems to go ok, and zaptel. it all installed
compiled and does all the wanpipe hwprobe exactly as documented.
Asterisk compiled ok, but when I run it give me

Yes. It does work. I had it working with a Varion card into an S8700
system with a TN464 DS1 circuit pack sitting in a IP 600 cabinet earlier
this year as a proof of concept.
Double check that your *ANI*DNIS* settings in the Definity setup match
what you're expecting on the Asterisk side of things and vice versa.

pre-installation jitters
...r issue I would like to request some advice on is in two parts:
a) Analog ports, FXS or FXO variety, most probably FXO variety. Can I do 20 FXO ports on an asterisk server ? if not, any examples of a "large" number of FXO ports ?
b) Digital ports, I assume 4xE1 ports are available from Varion, or from Digium (not supported by them though) but what about "cheap" channel banks, that are economical and no frills, good for loop start/ground start with no polarity reversal, FXS variety. Any suppliers of these devices, please contact me off list. (haque at at nmc dot dot pradeshta d...

SS7 E1 cards
Hi,
I'm looking into support for SS7 and I found an article
(http://www.openss7.com/news13022002.html) which says that OpenSS7
supports Linux Support Inc's T400P-SS7 Quad T1 and E400P-SS7 Quad E1 PCI
interface cards. It also says that Linux Support Inc is the primary
sponsor of Asterisk. However I cannot find these cards on the Asterisk
hardware page

Asterisk and a D/42NS
Hello,
The company I work for deploys and manages telecom hardware for small- to
medium-sized businesses. My boss has asked me to investigate Asterisk as a
possible PBX for deploying to customers along with IP phones. The general
layout would be:
