Wine and Windows 2000
I had the latest wine running under winblows 98 SE for a week or two with no problems, then I installed winblows 2000 and now I cannot get wine to work. It is important for me to get it running again since I run United Devices cancer research agent (http://members.ud.com) 24/7 to help them find a cure for cancer. Is wine compatible with Win2k, or will I need to re-install 98 again? -- Interested

Zombie lines.
I have asked something similar but have never really gotten a way to fix this! I really need to get this fixed or I might have to pull Asterisk out! And I do not want to do this! We use allot of Anolog phones the Aastra 452 which used to be USWEST and nortel phones before. These phone are bad not and should not be used with Asterisk system. But since I work for a company that does not want to change things much less buy new equipment I will have to live with these crappy phones! Now the main problem I have is transfering calls! Since we...

ADSI phone vs. IP phone
Assuming the price of an ADSI screen phone (say, Aastra 390) was the same as an IP screen phone (say, Cisco 7960) and someone was setting up an * server for their 20 employees (each of whom would have either an ADSI or IP phone on their desk), would there be advantages to using the ADSI phones over the IP phones, or vice-versa? For discussion, let's assume that the hardware needed to

wine reports wrong version
I have been running, first, codeweaver's wine and, just recently I built and installed wine-20010918-1. Nonetheless, no matter which version I have had, doing a "wine --version" produces "Wine release 20010824". I have uninstalled wine before switching from one version to another. Doing "rpm -qa |grep wine" shows only wine-20010918-1 installed. Somewhere

Read/Write throughput problem. Any help would be appreciated
I have 2.0.6 running on a FreeBSD 3.4-current box with a 3com-905b NIC, linking to a 5-port 10/100 hub at 100Mb, half-duplex. I'm connecting to the share with an OSR2 box with another 905b at 100Mb, half-duplex. Here's the problem: I can write to the share at about 3.5 MB/s, but can only read at about 250k/sec. I tried FTPing a file from the BSD box and got about 3-4 MB/s. I'm
