Badness in local_bh_enable at kernel/softirq.c:140
I''m getting subj trying to run linux-iscsi-4.0.2 on domain0. I tried xen-2.0.6, xen-2-test and xen-3-devel. The same results. I found similar complaints regarding this problem like below: http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0503.1/1622.html http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0503.1/1621.html Not sure if it is xen or linux-iscsi related bug. Any ideas how to cure it will be very appreciated. -- Jul 6 15:20:32 iscsi-test1 kernel: Badness in local_bh_enable at kernel/softirq.c:...

[Bridge] recent 2.6 kernels hang on bridge shutdown
...work anyway). I already reported this to the linux-kernel list, since I couldn't tell whether this is a bug in the bridging code or somewhere else. On second reading of REPORTING-BUGS, I probably should have sent it here first. For reference, these are my postings to linux-kernel: http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0501.3/2222.html http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0502.0/0139.html Please let me know if you need any further information, and please Cc me on replies, since I am not subscribed to the bridge list. rp_filter and fib_validate_source sequence in KPTD
...E_ROUTING (the PREROUTING hooks) are called before ip_rcv_finish is called, which means that the rp_filter action doesn''t occur until after the PREROUTING hooks. Is this accurate? RFI: recommendation for temperature monitoring
Good morning gurus, I would like to get recommendation for monitoring temperature for cpu using Asus P5WD2 motherboard and Intel D 820. I my installation has CPU cooling system changed from Intel bulk to Zalman CNPS9500 and it works. Normal Intel cooling system is not enough and is overheating cpu quite badly. Unfortunately Zalman has to be controlled (rpms) manually and thus I would like to see

MAC OS X and Samba Shares > 2 TB
Does somebody know if the Samba Client in MAC OS X (10.3.4 and 10.3.5) has problems looking at Linux-based Samba shares that are larger than 2 TB? I have Samba 3.0.2 running on my Linux box. I have never had any difficulty with the Mac seeing a 2 TB RAID array on the Linux box, but when the Mac looks at the 4 TB array, it can see all the contents and create folders but it can't create

Can I install version 15.1? I changed my sources.list to be a current cran mirror. I believe that I have entered the URL correctly because at first I had it wrong (there was a trailing

weird samba bug? some files from shares sometimes missing..
Hello, well, i have a weird problem: i mounted a share, shared on winxp, on my gentoo linux box via mount -t smbfs.. everything seems to work - seems. When i started to backup files with rdiff-backup, i noticed that it reported about new and deleted files, yet those were never deleted and are still present on the source share on the windows machine. I thought it might be a bug in

BIOS disk geometry and Linux 2.6
...Most partitioning tools (including Parted) will take clues from an existing partition table and adapt to the BIOS values. But if there is no existing partition table, they cannot do that. This matters because I am installing Windows while running Linux, not unlike this other person: http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0312.2/0230.html I can confirm that if I create a partition under Linux, format it, and run the Windows installer under dosemu, Windows is not able to boot. If I create the partition table under real DOS first, everything works fine. Now for the on-topic part of this...
