Theora (and ogg) on iPhone
I haven't been able to find anything about a port of the ogg/theora decoder
to the iPhone. I'm somewhat amazed it hasn't been done, really, given the
campaign against the iPhone in part for "not supporting open source codecs".
So, is there an unspoken ban on this, am I searching in the wrong places or
am I just the only one who'd really really like to be able to stream video
to the iPhone using an open source codec?Thanks,
Steve

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Coding standards: don't use ``inline`` when defining a function in a class definition
Hello,
This came up on IRC in context of r173842, and it was suggested to
codify this unspoken rule.
Current practice is not to use 'inline' in:
class Foo {
public:
inline void bar() {
// ...
}
};

[RFC] Strategies for Bootstrapping Compiler-RT builtins
...t bootstrap build not depend on GNU binutils?
Not necessarily. To my understanding LLVM doesn’t fully replace bin utils on any platform yet, and I think we’re a long way from saying the LLVM toolchain is the default builtin toolchain.

Ping.
This patch is not changing anything, it just documents the rule we
already follow.

Blog article about the state of CentOS
...e between upstream RHEL and CentOS.
The article is in german, but the statistics graph is eloquent enough for the
non-german-speaking users. It focuses on updates for CentOS 8, and more exactly
the extended periods of time where there have been no updates available.
The author's theory ("unspoken truth"): while it's a positive thing that Red
Hat is sponsoring CentOS, the amount of sponsoring is just insufficient enough
so that the product is "starved to death" by Red Hat (e. g. IBM) to encourage
users to move to RHEL.
The author's conclusion is quite severe: in the c...

Hi Philip,
While it's true we don't I think Valentin is reasonable in saying "hey,
when people do this let's try to combine them if it makes sense". It's just
being polite to everyone, especially if it doesn't risk the patches or

Hi,
Not sure where to address this question ... but I guess this is a good
start. I am a freelance Rails developer - and have been developing Rails
apps professionally for about a year now. I just want to get an idea of
what you other freelancers charge yourselves out at. I have been
charging the equivalent of about $28/hour, but get a sense that I
could/should charge a whole lot more. I am
