OT: hardware, IBM 3650 M2 won't power on
...Look for ones with the tops pushed up instead of being flat. This can cause all sorts of odd behavior. Often the machine with a blown capacitor will continue to run till it is powered off. Mostly I see this on Dell machines but have seen it on other machines as well. They are pretty easy to unsolder and replace. There are lots of pictures of failed electrolytic capacitors on the web. You can get decent capacitors cheap on Amazon. I understand the problem when the powers that be will not allow you to spend money. Now I work in a lab and have nice soldering equipment available and can get...

Store/product stock design question
Hi all,
I''m having trouble figuring out how to handle stock levels in a new
store I''m building. When products are entered into the admin of the
store, they have a stock number associated with them.
What I''m not sure about, is how I go about maintaining this stock
level. Take this scenario:
1. User A adds an item to their cart, and I check that it''s in stock -

HP laptops with CentOS 7?
...rst year they started selling "IBM PC compatible"...
Anyway, I decided to keep the beast, there was no 64 bit alternative
laptop then, and get strong allergy to Compaq. Also, I decided to confirm
my both degrees: in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering... I
disassembled the laptop, unsoldered EEPROM chip, dumped BIOS from it,
edited BIOS with hex editor, and instead of some unused PCI ID I put my
Intel card PCI ID, and I edited another unused one to keep checksum the
same. Dumped edited BIOS on new EEPROM chip. Soldered socked in place of
EEPROM chip, and put into it the chip with e...

Agile Web Development with Rails 1.1
Dave, on another topic, might I recommend that you and DHH publish an
updated version of the Agile guide right away when 1.1 comes out? You could
reuse much of your material and it would do a lot of good to help make sure
there is still a good centralized source of reference for Rails. Without
that book, there really is not a good one-stop source of information for
people to learn how to use
