We have tested latest xen on VT platform with Intel 915/E8500
chipset.Here is the test summary.

Unmodified 2003/2000/FC5 on XEN 3.0.2
I can see that Windows Loads in VM and when I run in safe mode it
reaches until loading
multi(0)\disk(0)\rdisk(0)\partition(1)\Windows\system32\drivers\Mup.sys
After this it hangs.Attached is the qemulog.
Note : These VM''s are running out of a complete disk (/dev/sdb), which
has working installation of Windows on it!
I am running FC5 along with Xen 3.0.2 (tried unstable too) on

Trying to get unmodified guests running
...;t find anywhere
better, so feel free to redirect me if necessary.
I'm trying to get a windows guest running under xen on debian. I'm
currently using the unstable xen-linux-system-2.6.18-1-xen-686 and
xen-ioemu-3.0-unstable packages. Dom0 boots just fine, and I was even
able to start the unmodified guest, but there was no console, and I'm
not sure what I need to see the console of the guest. I tried
installing xserver, but it won't run under dom0 (sucks CPU, and nothing
shows up on the screen). Oh, and I'm running on a Dell 2950 with VT
enabled.
Any thoughts?

Very poor VMX performance
After several days of problems, I finally got Xen 3.0.1 set up in Ubuntu
Breezy with the 2.6.12 kernel on a VT-enabled system with an Intel 930
processor and 2GB of memory.
I have been able to install an unmodified guest without any issues other
than performance. The guest runs extremely slowly and the mouse and keyboard
are all but useless because of the extreme lag. I''ve tried multiple viewers
(vncviewer 3.3, 4.0, and tightvnc), as well as low color depths. I am

Please make the journal file unmodified by user processes
Please forbid user level process to touch or unling the journal
file when the partition is ext3 mounted ... at all !
So far this weakness has been my main problem when using ext3
on production systems. Happened to rpmfind machines a couple of times,
at best a program removed the journal inode from the FS list and
it cannot be mounted at next reboot. At worse the content of the
journal.dat is
