ggplot2: Add '+' operator for aes (uneval) objects
Dear all,
Is there a reason, why there is no +-operator for aes (i.e. uneval) objects (as there is for themes and gg objects)? I had a couple of cases where such an operator would be useful, for instance to combine the result of aes and aes_string in functions. Any flaws with the following proposition:
`+.uneval` <- function(e1, e2) {
dup <- names(e1) %in% names(e2)
if (any(dup)) {

Cool. That seems to have fixed things both in the scenario of "domain
master = yes" set (my initial config) as well as the case of that
parameter now not explicitly defined.
In both cases Samba now starts up normally and uneventfully.

Apologies if I am not understanding something about how things are being
handled when using S4 methods, but I have been unable to find an answer to
my problem for some time now.
Briefly, I am associating the generic '[' with a class which I wrote
(here: myExample). The underlying back-end allows me to read contiguous
slabs, e.g., 1:10, but not c(1, 10). I want to shield the user from this

Calling applyClosure from a package?
Hi,
Short version of my question: Rf_applyClosure was marked
attribute_hidden in Oct 2023, and I am curious why and if there is an
alternative interface to it planned.
Long version:
I have been toying with building a package that makes it easier to do
non-standard evaluation directly using promises, rather than wrapping
these in a custom type (like e.g. rlang does). The advantage of this

odfWeave & XML error in post-processing
I've been happily building a file with odfWeave, and just as the hour

Problem setting up VNC on SLES10 HVM DomU
I''ve just uneventfully installed SLES10 as an HVM DomU (after finding
out, the hard way, that OpenSUSE 10.3 won''t install on Intel VT).
This almost went without a hitch, but I''ve been banging my head against
a brick wall for a few hours trying to get VNC working. I can get a
remote desktop, but a fe...

Well, I have been busy, and it is time to force move dovecot forward.
Being 'lazy' I am doing some initial tests on my POWER platform using an
old debian distro to build the latest (via git).
That has been

Can you please file a bug?
I think we will have to patch this pretty urgently.

ggplot2 geom_abline slope not working?
I am learning ggplot2, and need your help.
When I try

(from http://had.co.nz/ggplot2/geom_abline.html)
the slope of the abline does not change, but this works:

In order to have slope work, I have to use

Make error while installing R 2.6.1 on GNU/linux
Hello there,
I am having trouble installing R-2.6.1 on GNU/linux.
Here is how I configure and run it:
./configure --with-x=no --enable-R-shlib
make
The configure step is uneventful, the tail end of make follows. Does anyone have any experience with that?
Thanks a lot in advance for any suggestions.
gcc -std=gnu99 -shared -L/usr/local/lib -o stats.so init.o kmeans.o ansari.o bandwidths.o

CMS centos3
Anyone using or recomend a content management system that will install
without out a lot of mucky muck on a Centos3 system? I looked at Zope
but it needs a newer Python, Midgaard looks likes it's geared towards
RHEL4. OpenCMS looks like it runs on java so that might work. I have
yet to look at Rubyrails and Django.

Best way to migrate versions and machines
We are looking to migrate from our current mail server running
dovecot-1.2.11-3 to a new mail server running the latest dovecot
(2.0.9?). So this would not only be a version change but also a machine
change. We currently use Maildir for storing mail and would like to stay
that way.
Has anyone preformed such a feat and it worked? Looking for any input.

Just thanks
Hey There,
I'd been out of town, but just got back earlier and had a
wonderful uneventful upgrade to 4.9 release on a poweredge 1400SC.
Thanks for all the hard work making my favorite OS the easy decision it
has been for my servers. I encourage everyone to purchase the CD sets
whether they download and burn or not. I haven't seen anything anywhere
on the MSI Master2 FAR dual
