[LLVMdev] Build problem, in com.h

I tried changing the line in com.h to
ffeinfoBasicType ffecom_gfrt_basictype ( ffecomGfrt ix);
and then doing make clean && make
but I got a horde of link errors.
In desperation I attempted the other obvious solution to the error....
I undid the change to com.h and changed the line in com.c to
ffeinfoKindtype ffecom_gfrt_basictype ( ffecomGfrt gfrt)
This leads to more link errors. The errors appear to be the same as those I
got before. Therefor I think the link errors are unrelated to the problems

Upgrade Samba 3.0.28 to 3.6.0 problems

roaming profile username.V2 in the profiles directory. (windows XP

server copy was unavailable)
In addition to this on the Windows 7 workstation I could not access the

So I undid my changes and went back to Samba 3.0.28 until I can figure
these problems out.I have to figure out how not to have to re-add all of
my users and PC's into smbpasswd, why roaming profiles wont work and what
the access denined problem was about.
My smb.conf file did seem to translate OK becaus...

...as possible (this is not only because of Phab I'd argue).
The first experience I had with GH, someone modified my pull request
through the web interface. (There is a way to disallow this but I didn't
know.) Then I force pushed my updates to my private branch and the
person was angry that I undid all the work. We did manage to recover it
but it is not easily accessible as far as I know.

...wn the other day, and looking at
it, I found that the config file was set to the original code... and I
*KNOW*, for a fact, that I went through every single server that's
attached to a UPS many months ago, after something important shut down,
and fixed all of them.
So, it looks like an upgrade undid my change, rather than creating
apccontrol.rpmnew.
Has anyone seen this behavior?

too many rsync process's?
...p from
the Redhat to the 2k3 machines started at 9pm, around 10pm I noticed that
the 2k3 server was extremely slugish, checking Task Man I noticed that there
were 7 rsync.exe process's running. I can honistly say I dont know how many
process's rsync usualy runs, but 7 seams a bit extreme. I undid the changes
that I made, witch were not that many, and started the cwserver back up, and
left for the night. I came in this morning to find over 10 rsync process's
running. I am at a loss as to what I may have done. I currently have the
cwserver stoped, untill I can find out what is going on. A...

Samba Authentication Using Novell eDirectory via LDAP
...Change Password facility available by
doing a Ctrl+Alt+Del from a user's Windows workstation. The server
appears as a available resource, and the password can be changed along
with changing the Novell password, keeping them in sync.
As we were not ready to permanently effect this change we undid
everything, removing the three lines and renaming the smbpasswd back to
its original name. What is unexpected is that we can now change the
Samba passwords being stored in /etc/samba/smbpasswd using the same
Novell Change Password facility. While that's not necessarily a bad
thing, I app...

Samba3 By Example - Suggested Update (Correction?) And Two Winbind Defects
...d Windows hosts files, and then watched the packets go back and forth
with Ethereal between the Windows 2K AD server and the SuSE box, but we still
got the error. The two boxes were clearly exchanging packets, so we felt
pretty good that we didn't have any DNS configuration errors.
Next, we undid all of the above changes, and simply edited the krb5.conf file
to include the realm information and the IP:port info for the AD server. The
join was successful now.
May I therefore suggest that configuring the krb5.conf file be added to
Chapter 9.3.3 in S3BE?
Separately, we found two winbind e...

deleting all files except the .Rnw. Then I deleted a line within the code
chunk and synced successfully. To confirm the importance of that particular
line, I undid the deletion, but this did not break sync: I continued to
sync successfully. Deleting all the files except the .Rnw didn't break sync

Are there types of code in code chunks that break sync?
Is there better way to troubleshoot sync failures? Am I missing a factor?
Examples below. Thank...

HTML escape of umlauts
Cheers,
I work on a german site that obviously includes german words with umlauts in
its data.
It seems like the html_escape function (or simply h() function) will not
escape umlauts:
<%=h "รค" %>
Will not produce ä
What is the best way to do this?
Thanks,
Jonathan

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Make the ocaml source comments work with ocamldoc.
This patch cleans up the code so that it formats nicely with
ocamldoc. It does not yet hook into the build system, though.

Win98 client can't connect after Samba upgrade
Hi All, I was running Samba 2.2 as a PDC for a small office server for several years. Hardware was getting old enough I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to Samba 3.3.4 on FreeBSD 7.2 and a new box.
The smbpasswd file and all that stuff was copied from the old box. Clients are Win2000 and XP Professional, and for the most part were back up and connected, practically unaware of the switch

defining the virtual machine, etc.
No long time ago I made some changes to optimize kernel performance for
desktop as described here (it's in Portuguese, but can be undertood reading
the commands and files) and this changes caused the above errors (in Ubuntu
10.10 and Fedora 14). I undid the changes and I had no more errors.
Possibly I can be wrong, but it worked for me.

A working solution to the XP domain reboot problem
...9;smbd' and 'nmbd'.
From the XP box, log into the domain from System/Computer Name/change
you should get on it fine as 'root' + password.
Reboot XP, and log into the domain (use 'options' tab) as 'smbguest' +
passwd_for_smbguest_you_chose
Voila, non?
I also undid the XP firewall in the TCP/IP section, I don't know if this
helped me or not, but it might be crucial if the above doesn't work. Good
luck.

Updated 2.4 htree patches available for 2.4.21rc5
I've backported all of the bugfixes to the 2.5 dxdir/htree patches to
2.4, and have created a new set of patches for Linux 2.4.21rc5. At this
point it *looks* like we've fixed all of the htree bugs that people have
reported, including the brelse bug, the memory leak bugs, and the NFS
compatibility problems.
I've done *very* light testing, and things seem to work, but I'm now
