Ughh!! I just realized that the app that I'm testing has parts that are linked against 32-Bit
libraries. I have to test that as well. Ouch!
This leads to the question:
How do I tell rpmbuild to build the i686 version of the library in place of the x86_64? I've
done some looking around on t...

Upgrade from 2.8 to 3.0 groupmap broken any ideas?
...d have full
rights like samba 2.8 Domain Admin group option. I like groupmap better
anyhow.
side note: While working on this issue a couple of weeks ago I deleted the tdb
and restarted smb .. it worked!!! but then I went to do a modify and it
stopped working .. right back to where I started.. ughh.
Possible Reason:
1. During the upgrade is it possible that something got corrupted (anything
that would have affected this feature)?
2. Did I leave any important settings or configs out? etc...
3. My smb.conf is pretty basic.. right out of the build with modifications
only to use smbpasswd back...

full-fledge PDF editor for Linux
Hi all,
Does anybody know of an editor that can do on Linux what Acrobat /
Acrobat Pro can do on Mac/Windows? I have tried to use the PDF Import
extension to the Open Office which appears barely functional - at
least it is so slow as to be almost impractical. I have also tried
pdfedit under Linux which seems to work fine but seems to have rather
limited functionality. For instance, the capability

[LLVMdev] commit r152019 broke architectures with more than 255 registers
Our architecture(TCE) can have LOTS of registers.
It seems r152019 changed some register bookkeeping data structures to
8-bit. This broke support for architectures with >255 registers.
Please revert this change or make those register-related values at least
16 bits wide.

Problem processing text file after uploading
I''ve got a web-app currently partially working. The user uploads a .txt,
.docx or .doc file to the server.
Currently the model handles those files, saves some metadata (the
extention and orig filename) then saves the file to the hard drive. Next
it converts the doc and docx files to plain text and saves the output to
a txt file.
My problem is I want to copy the plain text contents of

Dell 1950
I am thinking of going with a Dell PowerEdge 1950 ||| for a new
CentOS/Asterisk set up. It will have dual 2.33GHz processors, 16GB
memory, two 500GB hard drives (presumably mirrored). I also plan to get a
Digium TE220B to go with it. (a non-dell server is not an option, but I
am wondering if there is a better one to consider)
The system will be a voice mail repository for 4-6,000 students.

The perfect development environment?
I am trying to create the perfect development environment for rails
and i dont know exactly which way to go. Do i create a windows
environment or a *nix environment. If i go *nix, what distro is best
suited for rails. I would be using mysql, so that would come in to
play. If i go *nix, i would use apache. Any ideas for the right
environment would be greatly appreciated. I guess the major choice is

Any help would be very appreciated!
