[Model] [Noob] Table Naming w/ underscores
Greetings: I am writing a basic accounting module for an app. Rather unfortunately the name "transactions" is a reserved term in Rails (being the only accounting term trully representational of a financial transaction). I am left to come up with other names. One such name was f_transaction. This worked on the DB level, but I noticed that the Model name dropped the underscore, thus "FTransaction". How do I refer to the model in the view layer? Do I use f_tran...

Getting nuts with sortables...
...1 - I CAN''T get listb_action or lista_action to get called. Why ???... Arghhh.. 2 - When I drop Item 3 on top of listb, Item 4 cannot be dragged above Item 3. 3 - How can I obtain a ''duplicate-and-drop'' effect, ie ensure that lista are only duplicated to listb rather than trully move from a to b ? Your help is greatly appreciated... This is really getting on my nerves (especially question 1!) Jb

compler-rt, __aeabi_memcpy () possibly broken (ARM)
Hello, I recognized that compiler-rt's the implementation of __aeabi_memcpy simply branches to memcpy. The implementation of memcpy is not provided. So an externally provided memcpy () has to be used. (also applies to memmove, memset, memclr) On ARM I have seen implementations of memcpy () using floating-point registers (if compiled with NEON support). The is perfectly legal, as memcpy ()

unaccounted for daily growth in ZFS disk space usage
...t say an aggregate of no more than 400+MB a day. However, zfs list shows our daily pool as a whole, and per day we are growing by .01TB, or more specifically 80GB a day. That''s a far cry different than the 400MB we can account for. Is it possible that metadata/ditto blocks, or the like is trully growing that rapidly. By our calculations, we will triple our disk space (sitting still) in 6 months and use up the remaining 1.7TB. Of course, this is only with 2-3 days of churn, but its an alarming rate where before on the NetApp we didn''t see anything close to this rate.

Normal AAPCS functions are allowed to corrupt d0-d7 and d16-d31, but the RTABI seems pretty explicit that these functions aren't. I think we've got a real problem here. Cheers. Tim.

reverse wine odbc
I know it's possible to access linux odbc data from inside wine, but I'm wondering if there's any way to access wine odbc data from Linux through odbc (or anything else). I ask this because I have data that can only be accessed via windows odbc drivers (a foxpro database), but I'd really like to interface with it from python in Linux (without having to run python under wine). set privoxy to rewrite http to https
...uot; on the site.. if i click on a "http" link, it will request the page on "http", and THEN it switches to "https". Heres the problem. How/where could i write a privoxy rule, to rewrite all the "http" links to "https"? [so that it would by always trully over https] Are there any "general" rules (with privoxy), so that i don't have to write rules / site? with the KB SSL Enforcer its always first http, then it recognizes that the site can do https, than it switches to it. But i want to "bypass" the http part. thank you fo...

Preventing non-domain user from accessing domain resources
...n authentication welcome message. Just type the login name and password - voila, you're in! Is that weird or is that just how things work within a domain? I thought non-domain computers will be kept out off the domain? Is that an IPsec or group-policy matters as in the windows environment? I am trully a newbie about those two subjects. That's the 1st problem. I've also built another file server (redhat 9, samba has been reinstalled using samba3, different workgroup from the PDC but samba share directory is accessible for the domain users, the passwd backend is the LDAP server). But I ca...

FXS port doesn't provide dialtone
Hello everyone, I want to connect a fax to an FXS port (TDM420P). For testing purposes, I connected an analogue phone to it first. However, when I pick it up, I cannot hear anything at all. The power cable is plugged into the card, the port is configured to use fxo-signalling. Also, immediate=no. Here's the files: /etc/zaptel.conf: # Autogenerated by /usr/sbin/genzaptelconf -- do not hand

Selective Compression/Encryption
Currently compression and I assume if encryption is implemented it is turned on or off during mount. There are however many times when a user may want to select which files/directories they want to compress or encrypt. This will also be helpful when implementing btrfs support in grub for example. We can say the disk can be compressed/encrypted except for /boot so compression/encryption
