thoughts on tripp lite Smart Online UPSs?
We're looking at replacing some old APC SmartUPS 5000s with something that has USB so NUT can more easily talk with it (and yes, I've tried USB-RS232 adapters and every one I tried started kicking out errors within a few hours). One of the bids we have is for a "Tripp Lite UPS Smart Online 5000VA 4500W Rackmount 5kVA 200V/240V" as the potential replacement unit. I have no

Hello, https://networkupstools.org/ddl/Tripp_Lite/AVR750U.html Going off of this page, it looks like this should be supported by usbhid-ups, but it seems to be failing. TrippLite AVR550U start on power
I have a TrippLite AVR550U that my company uses several individual Linux boxes in one large system, all running Ubuntu 18.04LTS, and all will be using the package version of nut - 2.7.4. In my scenario, our usage case is for the PCs to all shut down, followed by the individual UPSes, when mains power is removed from the whole system. (This isn't a typical setup for UPS, but it's what

Seriously confused...
Hi all, My apologies if this has been asked, but is there anyone who would be willing to help me figure out what to 'edit' in what and which (all?) '.conf' files in /etc/nut to be able to use my new Tripp Lite Smart1300LCD please? I have/need just the most basic setup. It's only me using my computer and only this one computer and a few peripherals being used on the

Setting the transfer threshold voltage on a TrippLite OMNI900LCD
At the company I work for, we are using many TrippLite OMNI900LCD UPSs and are having difficulty setting the lower transfer threshold voltage. On our other model, the Eaton MGE-3S550, this can be set using upsrw to set the input.transfer.lowsetting, but on the Omni900, this option is not available. In our testing, it defaults to ~95v but we want to set it to 84v. More info: - OS = OpenSuse 13.1 -

Tripplite Smart Int 1000 - wrong numbers
Hello, I've got Tripplite Smart Int 1000 UPS with lan4.1 serial interface. Quite sympathetic UPS, I must say from first glance. I have made a proper serial cable (btw i hate all those constructor's decisions to make distinct serial wiring for each and every UPS type from each and every manufacturer!) I use [tripplite] driver for NUT and I can use upsc to get report from UPS, but

Tripp-Lite BCPERS450 shutdown/restart problems
Thanks again for your help, Charles. I was able to install the Tripp Lite software on my Ubuntu machine, and it sort of works. It does something which continually changes the USB device ID of the UPS, and prints voluminous error messages in the log. However, one of the things that it can do is to schedule a UPS shutdown, which Nut does not know how to do. So I monitored the USB port with

Hi Everyone, New to the list. Thanks in advance for any assistance you are able to provide. I have a TrippLite SMART2200RM2UN UPS. I have installed and configured NUT as instructed on the website, and am able to monitor the status of the UPS without much problem. The only problem I am seeing is that I cannot get the machine to actually send a Low Battery ( LB ) signal. When I run

Tripp-Lite BCPERS450 shutdown/restart problems
I have a Tripp-Lite BCPERS450, connected to a system running Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS and NUT 2.7.2-4ubuntu1.2. I had to make my own /lib/systemd/system-shutdown/nutshutdown, but now everything is working except for powering on and off the UPS. Regardless of the settings of offdelay and ondelay in upsconf, and regardless of whether the AC power is on, when I say "upsdrvctl shutdown" the UPS
