Compiling Samba 3.0.4, err w/ krb5
Hello again, I'm not attempting an install of Samba 3.0.4 from source. I want to specifically compile in ads and winbindd support. So, I already compiled and installed OpenLDAP 2.2.13. Now the configure script is hung on krb5 dependancy: checking for krb5.h... no configure: error: Active Directory cannot be supported without krb5.h So I downloaded and attempted compile of krb5 1.3.4, but

IAX based war dialer
This may be of interest -- as a tool we can use to test our systems and as a weapon that may be used against us :) http://warvox.org/ A brief read-over looks like it uses iaxclient and ruby to war dial a range of numbers and record audio samples to be analyzed to identify if the call was answered by a modem, fax machine, human, etc. The calls are placed through a PSTN termination

S Compatibility (Was: Re: R-beta: 'all.names' function -- failing as.list( _function_ ))
...ng. Scoping is one of these (although I have to confess that I have made the pitch to Robert that we should drop our scoping in favour of the S version - he sensibly said "no"). It's very important that there be a "free" alternative to to S-PLUS (I have just deleted a long tirade about this - you're probably all converts anyway). ``Giving in'' on a few points is a small price to pay for enough applications to ensure R's success. Possible PAWS security vulnerability
...cent = 0; tp->ts_recent_age = ticks; tp->ts_recent = to.to_tsval; } After I basically let Ted know that I wouldn't know how to test the patch, because I don't even know how to break it in the first place, he went on a tirade calling me a troll, and all sorts of nasty accusations and general belittlement. I hope that you don't have to work with him on a regular basis, because he appears to be the definition of the word "dickhead." Tim.

ZFS and disk usage management?
...ve clients mounting to /groups directly. I know the zfs answer/dogma is "automounts", but it''s not that simple. I have no good way to know what is being mounted in which manner (blame the NAS 5320''s boatload of bugs there... I could go on and on there in a curse-filled tirade), so the only real way to know is to migrate and find out what breaks. Not good. Furthermore, there is no reasonable "fix", anyway, other than some serious automount voodoo. So, this means making the zfs filesystems at the /groups level instead of the /groups/accounting level as I had e...

can''t get rails to connect to mySQL - HELP!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, but this is really NOT as easy as the tutorials/books make out. I''m really struggling at the first hurdle here. And while I''m not a programmer by design I do know my way around most stuff. And if I can''t get this to work I suspect more people will have the same issues. There seems to be too many variables to address. I have winXP, I have ruby and rails all

From: Collins Richey > Sounds pretty religious-based to me. > IBM=bad > HP,Sun, RedHat, SCO=good. > OTOH, from some of your comments, Novell=better. Are you really that shallow? IBM is our partner, not our friend. Sun has its interests too, and has 5 different entities of focus, which vary. Red Hat is a tale of two companies, cut-throat business combined with GPL-analness (like

答复: I love NUT
Carsten, This is a common issue in technology when you have complex products that the majority of consumers of those products do not understand how they operate. If most UPS customers understood the importance of standardization they would have refused to purchase non-standard UPSes and all UPSes would have long ago standardized on a single management protocol. The normal thing is that product
