estimated number of years to TBW math
My nvme drive has a warranty of 100TBW.
If I divide "Data Units Written:" by "Power On Hours:" I get the average
written per hour.
If I divide 100 000 (100TB) that by 24 by 365 I get the number of years
to get to 100TBW.
Right?
This is strictly the time to TBW, what things fail because of age?

wonder whether it has been taken any further. I have an important
medical problem where X is computed from a three independent and
complicated measurements (exchangeable sodium and potassium and total
body water - i.e. X = (Nae+Ke)/TBW ) and Y is serum sodium
concentration (all data in Edelman, JCI 1958). I have the individual
data in the paper (but have not yet had time to enter it) and Edelman
et al in fact reported measurement errors for most individual items.

Either Corsair does not want to a) test for MTBF, b) show the MTBF, or
c) they are not really satisfied with it and thus hide it. *shrugs*

Solaris smbd problem
Dear Samba Guys and Gals,
Weird problem appeared this morning. Samba users can't access their
Solaris Unix drives on their PCs. It seems that smbd is not starting. Even
if I start it manually, it does not show in ps -eaf, there are no error
messages at the command line and not error messages in the smbd log file.
I'm stumped.
Any suggestions? TIA.
