getpeername failed. Error was Transport endpoint is not connected
Good Afternoon, I have Samba 2.2.1a running on a SPARC Solaris 2.7. All of a sudden I'm having a problem with one PC mapping Samba drives. In the log file for this PC I get the following error messages: [2001/12/11 12:47:22, 0] lib/util_sock.c:write_socket(565) write_socket: Error writing 4 bytes to socket 8: ERRNO = Broken pipe [2001/12/11 12:47:22, 0] lib/util_sock.c:send_smb(729) Error writing 4 bytes to client. -1. (Broken pipe) [2001/12/11 12:47:45, 0] lib/util_sock.c:get_socket_addr(1031) getpeername failed. Error was Transport endpoint is not connected [2001/12/11 12:47:45, 0] lib/util_sock.c:write_socket_data(541) write_socket_data: write failure. (Broken pipe) I searched the Internet and the only reference I get to this indicates the problem can arise if the PC crashes/reboots during a connection and Samba gets confused. No suggested solution. I've tried restarting both the smbd and nmbd. No change. Any suggestions? TIA. ================================================================================= Thomas Walter Geography & Computer Science Departments Hunter College of the City University of New York 695 Park Avenue New York, NY 10021 (212)772-5457 Office (212)772-5268 Fax tbwalter@geo.hunter.cuny.edu http://geography.hunter.cuny.edu/~tbw
