PDC: System SID missing / inconsistent with domain SID
Hello,
I recently noticed a problem on our PDC (samba 3.0.32
on SLES 10 SP2) which I kind of know how to solve after
web research but I am unclear about the possible
consequences for our domain and clients.
The situation is this:
Originally samba was set up on this machine to test. Back
then its hostname was infrahostnew, so there is a SID for
that NETBIOS name in secrets.tdb. When the PDC went

TAC Case Cisco 7960 Proxy address showing up in callerID
Figured this was worth passing on...
This was reported due to the proxy IP address showing up in CallerID on
the phone.

Tim,
I have tracked down the source of the change in the SIP firmware. The
behavior was changed as a fix to bug id CSCsc22406 (host part of the
callerid not preserved in ReceivedCall entry). This was a

X-UID gaps cause Dovecot/IMAP to hang
Hi,
When the Dovecot 1.0.rc19 IMAP server encounters X-UID headers with
gaps in them, it hangs indefinitely. I've attached a sample mailbox (in
mbox format) which repeatably exhibits this behavior. The mbox contains
only three messages with the following X-UIDs in order: 774, 785, 787.
If I remove the X-UID headers from each message, Dovecot handles the
mailbox without any problems. UW-IMAP is able to handle the sam...

Hi everybody - this is an oddball question.
I wonder if anybody has programmed any games in R, such as Sudoku,
Tic-Tac-Toe and the like. Or even a flight simulator...
R mateys! Let's make some t-tests!

Exact phrase score
Sorry if this has been beaten to death here but I couldn''t find the
exact answer I was looking for.
In the app I''m writing, we convert the score to a percentage and display
it with the search results. The problem is when you search for an exact
phrase (for example) and it matches the title of a document exactly, you
only get a 17% match.
Has anyone seen a way to either curve

how to study the lead and lag relation of two time series?
Hi all,
Is there a way to study the lead and lag relation of two time series?
Let's say I have two time series, At and Bt. Is there a systematic way
of concluding whether it's A leading B or B leading A and by how much?
Thanks!

* Is there a solution without disabling oplock ?
* Is it a RedHat or a Samba problem ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Cisco 7961 new firmware stops reading configuration files
...ain.
The tftp logs indicate that the phones is getting the correct
SEP<MAC>.xml.cnf file but will not parse it, so that doesn't seem to be
the issue.
The Wiki pages for 79x1 indicate that it's a known issue, has anyone
managed to get past the issue?
I tried logging a call with Cisco TAC, but they're giving the "We don't
support SIP on anything other then CME..."
Thanks,
Chad

Asterisk to Cisco's Rescue...again...Authenticate LD Calls
..., like we've done numerous times in the past. The customer
needed LD Authorization codes enabled, got the list 400+, and configured
them in the CCM, no problem. We started passing calls, local was fine but
the LD would not work, turned the LD codes off and LD would work. After
engaging Cisco TAC, was informed that LD coded do not work with this type of
gateway device.
After strapping on my Asterisk-Orange Super-Engineer Cape and Goggles, I
told my Cisco Guy to prepend all the LD traffic with a 3 digit code and send
it to one of my Cluster Asterisk Servers. I put in a pattern for match...

[LLVMdev] Why buildbot SVN checkouts fail
...uot; checkout.
>
>
Hi Bill,
[sorry I was not subscribed to llvm-testresults, and noticed this only now]
This is a buildbot bug apparently, see
http://buildbot.net/trac/ticket/284 and http://buildbot.net/trac/ticket/255.
You can fix this on the buildbot *slave* by editing your buildbot.tac
file, and adding this line:
usepty = 0
I had the same problem for a buildbot I run for another project, and
after adding that line to the clients I never encountered
the problem again.
A nice side-effect of adding that line is that now the buildslave's
stdio logs have stderr lines in red.

Open a Cisco TAC case and upload a Nexus 9000 tech support (`tac-pac`) to investigate further.
Is "port security" enabled on these ports?
Does this port double as a LOM/IPMI port?
What driver is being used `ethtool -i eth#`?
Any OS bonding?
Any switch port-channel/vPC?
That NIC chipset is a few years ol...
