Not having an AV or swithching it off at times is not a sign of
stupidity. The best antivirus is a mindful, knowledgeable user. And the
antivirus doesn't really protect you in case of risky behavior.

IceS playlist & directory ?
Greetings
Is it possible to command IceS to play from a directory instead of creating a playlist with several hundred mp3's. I have read through the threads and notice that Ices can do some great things but I am swithching from a Win2k environment so I am not familiar with python and perl.
Is what I am asking possible?
Is there some one willing to share scripts created for Ices?

WinXP SP1 breaks roaming profiles.
We've applied SP1 for WinXP on several machines and now roaming profiles
don't work them.
I tried swithching "nt acl support = yes" as previously mentioned on this
list but this still doesn't
work for us and we continue to get the following error:
Windows did not load your roaming profile and is attempting to log you on with
your local profile. Changes to the profile will not be copie...

[LLVMdev] Windows development and "virus" in LLVM test suite
Thanks for your input. We are getting closer and closer to the final
solution to this issue. I agree with you, on second thought, that only THE
offending file should be excluded.
If somebody is stupid enough to disable their antivirus or remove it
(namely me), it is their own choice and is not something that all of the
LLVM group has to take part in.
So, I'll make sure the Windows docs

UnicodeData
Hey guys,
there seem to be a problem with wget and/or the unicode webserver.
During the make process there are several files wich are download from
the unicode server.
I can access them manually but both curl and wget failing to get it.
Are they any other mirrors or anyone else expiring this bug?
Greetings

UTF-8 & Hebrew
Sorry if this is offtopic.
My Win32 comment editor uses a routine of my own to read comments
directly from OGG files but uses vorbiscomment.exe to write comments.
I've implemented a UTF-8 function which I found on the internet to
decode UTF-8. It appears to be working fine for most European
characters, however, I have a Russian user using WinXP who is entering
Hebrew characters such as

domain authentication issue after rebooting Debian Jessie - need to restart samba each time
Hai,
If not, well, very stange, i have about 7 Jessie's here with samba and
i dont have any problems.
I think systemd is blocking your startup of samba due to multple errors on startups previously.
Few questions?
Do you have samba with shares over nfs?
If so, create te following folder :
/etc/systemd/system/nfs-common.service.d/
Add the following file with content to the file :

Network access speed.
Good afternoon all,
I have a few questions, and just joined the list and plan on staying.
I had 2 Samba servers at work, both running apache, etc, that we develop on from work and at home over a vpn.
My vpn upload speed is 25K, and at one time windows 2000 could save a document in less than 4 seconds from across the vpn using textpad.
We recently downgraded our crappy 7.1 redhat versions to 6.2
