ext3 offline resizing
...ll, I want to setup a linux workstation with FC4 and with all the partitions (except for /boot) under LVM to be able to resize them in future. I don't need online resizing, I can shutdown the system and reboot with the rescuecd when needed. I have done some test on this configuration and I have sverals doubts: If i format a partition with the resize_inode feature enabled and I resize it offline with resize2fs all is ok until I reach (in a single step or in several step) 1000*(Original Size). When i extend a partition over this size I receive a couple of error when I launch fsck.ext3 and the resi...

NTLM auth, better on a DC or on a DM?
Probably is a stupid question, but... I need to implement some 'NTLM auth' (in squid and MSCHAPv2/PEAP on freeradius). It is better to install squid/freeradius in the same host of a DC, or don't bother at all so they can be installed also on a DM? Thanks. -- dott. NTLM auth, better on a DC or on a DM?
Would squid and freeradius support LDAP authentication with AD ?   I don't know if you are using NTLM or NTLMv2. NTLM auth, better on a DC or on a DM?
Sorry, i'm still a bit confused. Andreay say: > I would do that, it allows you to have the FreeRADIUS fail over to > another DC when you are upgrading Samba, and choose to upgrade Samba's > base OS without consideration for the Squid/FreeRADIUS stack. So, ntlm_auth connect to (local) winbind, and winbind connect to DCs, so in this way freeradius 'failover' in respect of

command history under cursor keys
g'day R friends, I was hoping someone could provide me with advice as to my dysfunctional 'arrow' keys. Instead of browsing thru my command history they just move my cursor. What have I done wrong? My TERM seems ok for other unix apps. I'm running under hpux 10.20 with R1.0.0 thanks, John Strumila -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
