Sorting of passwd/group files
Is there a program on CentOS which will sort my passwd/group etc. files by username or uid/gid? On Suse I can do this with a sysconfig switch and Suseconfig, is there something similar on RH-based systems? Further to 0.9.8 to 0.9.12 update problems
...issing. No help.. I am wonderng if "- Several improvements to the font support." found in the ANNOUNCE file might be related to the issue.. I note there are no *.fon/*.ttf files in the .wine structure.. I guess this is normal given that my working install doesnt have them either. Ran SuSEconfig that I guess rebuilds /usr/lib/X11/fonts font database etc but no help. Might I have a wrong font subsituted in there? What font does Windows use for its startup in notepad, install screens etc. Any further ideas please? Cheers Bob

X11 fonts cannot be loaded - SuSE Linux solution
Dear list, I would like to make a comment how to solve the X11 font problem under SuSE Linux (9.0) when you get the message: "X11 font at size 16 could not be loaded". After having modified /etc/X11/XF86config as root (see below) you have to run 'SuSEconfig' as root as well else nothing might be changed in the X-Server. After that no further messages should appear. Opensuse 10.3 does not charge dom0
I decided to upgrade from openSuse 10.2 to openSuse 10.3. I installed xen things, but when I boot using xen option the system is blocked. It appears the green window, with little suse logo in the middle, and mouse cursor, but the system crashes. My computer is a Pentium 4 1,5 GHz, 512 MB of RAM. I attached "diff boot.msg boot.omsg" (as diff opensuse-normal-kernel opensuse-xen-kernel)

Login incorrect problem (SUSE-packaged Xen)
Hello, I am a newbie of Xen and just started with SUSE9.3-packaged Xen. The packaged document README.SuSE and script mk-xen-resucue-img.sh did me a great help, I could run sample ttylinux-xen and rescue-based Suse with xen. Now I''m trying YaST dirinstall. I Created a root FS image and installed a "minimal system required" using YaST . This domain booted and login console

Solved:Login incorrect problem(SUSE-packaged Xen)
...9;'t mind, that previous mailbox itself had been very new and contained only a few mail data. Anyway I''m sorry I had to start a new thread. Hi, Okamoto-san, Thank you very much! I could log in SUSE runnning in unprivileged domain by your advice. >You should enable to run YaST and SuSEconfig at xen-dirinstall. Great! As I started new root FS image created with above option, a black-and -white window appeared in the exact console to input root password and to create a new user. After setting this, I did it! A short description on how I did this can be found at my web page: http://www.sm6rpz.se/mailserver.html I use Fedora Core 2, but I do not think that will matter, it should work for SuSE also I think. Hi there, Here are a few patches to get virt-p2v working on openSUSE and SLES. Note that I intentionnaly use icewm and yast2 lan for SLES and openSUSE since SLES doesn't ship metacity and all of NetworkManager pieces.
