IMAP "freezing" on OSX
...ove messages between folders. I'm not certain if that's a root cause, though, or simply a consequence of "opening" an affected folder to perform the move. I have a spam folder with a large number (>10000) of messages in it, and trying to file stuff in there is a relatively surefire way to generate the problem. Once it's happened once, it inevitably escalates - restarting the client helps a bit, as does restarting dovecot. However, the only way to "fix" it and restore full functionality seems to be to delete all of the index and dovecot* files from the mai...

Metadata/DebugInfo in *.ll file
.... If I set invalid parameters for the call, then the LLVM passes warn me, correctly, so at least I see in the log, that LLVM tries to assign debuginfo to given instruction. If however I set valid parameters, then I suppose, that the passes drop the debuginfo related to an Instruction. Do you know a surefire way to avoid the drop of instruction related debuginfo? Previously compilation procedure on Mac OS X no longer works
...ls and now I get hideous messages such as the one below. I have tried installing an earlier version of Mac OS X developer tools. No joy, Could anyone put me out of my misery and compile this code and post the binaries for mac os X so that I can just get back to work? Please? Or is there a surefire way to get the compilation process working again? fix(fix)
...ta I get the response: > fix(qss) Error in edit(name, file, editor) : problem with running editor vi when I try to close the editing session. I used to think that these were always cases where there was some syntactical error with the edited file, but this is not the case. I realize that one surefire way to avoid this problem is to stop using fix()...but if there are other suggestions, I would be happy to hear them. [PATCH] is it of any interest ?
Hi, While looking at icecast's sources, I wondered if this was feasible, so I've tried and it seems to work: the attached patch allows a /cgi-bin/ url in icecast-1.3.11 to launch cgi scripts directly from within icecast. you have to put the real absolute pathname to the cgi script, and it seems to more or less work. WARNING: you must use two slashes after "cgi-bin" for an

...d machines. A user can connect to any server, but their mail files live on one particular machine. I'd like to transparently proxy them from whatever machine they happen to hit to their home machine. Except for the "proxy_maybe" feature advertised for dovecot 1.1, I don't see a surefire way to do this. Has anyone done it, or can anyone say for sure that it can't reasonably be done until "proxy_maybe"? Can't create subfolders of my INBOX or delete folders with IMAP
...better than mbox. I don't have any particular preference for one or the other, but I don't want to change if I don't have to because: 1) From experience, I don't screw with settings if I don't have to. Debian made it that way, and changing it behind Debian's back is a surefire way to cause trouble later. 2) Any other accounts on that machine (especially ones I might create in future) will probably still be mbox, causing even worse confusion later. 3) Porting mailboxes is always risky, and I don't want to lose my mail, or have incoming email dropped, or accidenta...

Sound card & GTA San Andreas
Hey everyone, I'm kinda new to the forum, Wine and Linux in general. Anyways, to the point: I installed GTA San Andreas yesterday and it did work until the evening. Now it says it cannot find the sound card, causing it to quit immediately. In the Wine configuration, I selected all drivers (doesn't work otherwise), a sample rate of 48000 at 16 bits per sample. As Windows version, I chose

This was just a try, if you put this on a production server you should be shot dead immediately ;-) and that's why I didn't post it to icecast@xiph.org ! Please consider this as a starting point, it was a 30 min...

Which Distro to Use?
...pretty much every one uses pulseaudio now. Even Xubuntu uses it now. SO if someone could tell me what distro the developers use that does not use pulseaudio natively, i would be more than happy to use it. I just want the old gnome setup like 7.04 alsa only was. So can anyone help? Or point me to a surefire way to set up a new distro back to the good old days without pulseaudio?

I've noticed many people manually entering .. [[User:*|*]] on the talk pages to sign their contributions.. Just a friendly note that "--~~~~" is shorthand for your signature w/ timestamp. I just recently learned that, myself. In addition, I'd like to say how awesome our little community of hackers have been oven the past week. IRC, email, the lists, and the wiki have

The High Performance Echo Canceller (HPEC) is a software upgrade to legacy Digium cards, and is included with the new TDM800P. The HPEC is supposed to be the greatest thing since Lydia Pinkham's Vegetable Compound, and surefire cure for echo problems. It is host-based, so it's not dependent on the interface card. It's free to Digium customers, and available at $10 per channel for non-Digium cards. http://www.voipplanet.com/trends/article.php/3657981

more on cbq parameters
While I''m thinking about that review of howto changes, here are a few other responses about things I don''t believe. I''ll be interested in more info if anyone has any. ==== [from new doc] Besides being classful, CBQ is also a shaper and it is in that aspect that it really doesn''t work very well. It should work like this. I''ve not noticed that it

dedicated vnic IP zone not recieving unicast traffic

My test host persephone, is a virtual machine running under VMware ESXi 3.5, with 2 virtual network cards (e1000), all on the same flat network/subnet. It started life just 2 days ago with a clean install of snv_95, and I LUed to 105 yesterday. To rule out any sharing issue, the first

[RFC PATCH 00/62] Linux as SEV-ES Guest Support
Hi, here is the first public post of the patch-set to enable Linux to run under SEV-ES enabled hypervisors. The code is mostly feature-complete, but there are still a couple of bugs to fix. Nevertheless, given the size of the patch-set, I think it is about time to ask for initial feedback of the changes that come with it. To better understand the code here is a quick explanation of SEV-ES first.
