A topic on a category of a subforum really belongs_to what?
Suppose you have a forum with many sub-forums, and each sub-forum has
many categories (or sub-sub-forums), and each category may or may not
have many sub-categories (or sub-sub-sub-forums).
Will a topic belong to the sub-category AND category AND sub-forum; or
only to a sub-category, that will in turn belong to a category that will
in turn belong to a sub-forum?

New Wine help and discussion forum
...n to
their Linux distribution forum where Wine is often a sub-forum at most
and questions often go unanswered.
My goal is to provide a forum to bring Wine users together into a
single meeting place to discuss anything relevant to the daily
happenings surrounding Wine. There are multiple categories/subforums
to cover all aspects of using Wine (Applications, Games, 3rd Party
Wine Utilities, Commercial Offerings, etc.).
Cheers,

Forum FAQ & Readme First docs now up
Hi All,
This relates to the CentOS forums, but as it also falls under
documentation, I'm posting here too.
We have recently opened up a new subforum entitled "FAQ & Readme first"
and we have 2 new posts designed to help newcomers in obtaining help.
Here are the links to the posts in the CentOS 5 forum (they are
duplicated in the C4 and C3 forums):

Question on entry exit tabulating in any R finance package
I asked the question in Rmetrics subforum, but for some reason, almost two
weeks later, it keeps saying I haven't been approved to post yet there.
I'll try again here on the open forum.
I wanted to have a script that tabulates results by trade. I.e. instead of
tabulating each day as a trade event, you enter on one date, exit another,
and simply tabulate metrics based on one trade period.

R CMD -lgsl -lgslcblas *.c returns a fatal error: gsl/gsl_rng.h no such file or directory exists
Hello,
I tried this posted on the R devel subforum but no help so far. Maybe the
wider net will be fruitful. Probably a pretty simple issue.
The short story goes, I'm writing C source code and compiling it in as *.dll
in the windows terminal by R CMD SHLIB foo.c. It works, I'm on a 64-bit
system. I have the lastest R 2.15.0 and Rtools, and I am using the gcc 4.6.3
compiler.
However,

I feel the same.
I'd like to know exactly what it is that people find so convenient about forums.
I'd also like to know why the wine list archives can't

NNTP versus web forums
I see that a number of questions are being answered on the new web
forum that is now part of the centos site. And the mailing lists So
now there are two places to search, both the forum and the mailing list
archives.
This is just doubles the work required to follow along or find a
solution.
I know NNTP isn't sexy, it doesn't allow graphics in posts, it doesn't
have person
