[PATCH 1/5] Intel MIC Host Driver for X100 family.

Ok, it's now your task as an Intel employee to get this paragraph stricken from the "default template" that GPL code in the kernel, written by Intel developers, has. It's pointless, and unless you want to be personally responsible for tracking the address changes of the FSF for the next 40+ years, not something I'm going to ever accept. I know you aren...

Persistent desktop icons ?
...ere for example : http://www.microlinux.fr/configurations.html The shortcut on the lower left corner of the screen launches the public library management system. Most of the users are quite computer-illiterate, and more often than not, they tend to erase these shortcuts (and then call me panic-stricken at 07:00 in the morning :oD). To configure the shortcuts themselves, I just edit a .desktop file by hand. I tried various combinations of chown and chmod, but to no avail. Even if there are minimum access rights, the thing can still be erased with a right click. Now I vaguely remember that a...

Script to convert mboxes to maildirs?
Does anybody know of a script of a simple method of converting mbox mail stores to maildirs? I'm moving from an old pop3 system to imap and after installing about half our office with mboxes have found that mbox does not support subfolders which some people like to use. Is there any simple way of converting? I can go to each individual account and "manually" convert swaping data

MegaRAID lockups under 5.5 PRELEASE
...graded FreeBSD on both boxes from a point on RELENG_5 (1 July 2005) to 5.5-PRERELEASE and now one of the boxes has started behaving badly. In the space of two days we've had about half a dozen occurrences of random processes blocking and rendering the machine unusable. 'top' shows the stricken processes in state 'ffsfsn' and they cannot be killed. The affected machine is a Slony subscriber and so isn't directly used by customers, but is still an important component in our system. PostgreSQL seems to be most likely to block, but sshd has also blocked preventing logins. The i...

album portion of the tags request
I wanted to post publicly my problem with Jonathan's proposed album requirements. Although I do apologize, since this thread is too big already. The idea that as a requirement one should be able to identify the exact CD a track was ripped from is not a valid requirement in my book (not for the tags at least), and I hope I can explain why. Without knowing the exact way Jonathan wishes to

TAG-mess
Hi, <p>here's my €0.02 on that topic. First of all, all those new tags are total overkill to be standardized. They're only useful for people who both tag OGG files for a living and listen to classical music only. Imagine what will happen when the Jazz fans, and the Techno fans, and the Rock fans and who knows else demands his very own, customized + standardized set of tags. And

[PATCH 0/5] Enable Drivers for Intel MIC X100 Coprocessors.
An Intel MIC X100 device is a PCIe form factor add-in coprocessor card based on the Intel Many Integrated Core (MIC) architecture that runs a Linux OS. It is a PCIe endpoint in a platform and therefore implements the three required standard address spaces i.e. configuration, memory and I/O. The host OS loads a device driver as is typical for PCIe devices. The card itself runs a bootstrap after
