Raspberry PI3 - CentOS armv7hl gnome desktop
Maybe there is a better place to post this message but as my question was still CentOS related thought I would start here. Please advise if there is a better forum of which to ask this question. I am playing around with making a "desktop" workstation out of a Raspberry PI3. I have had no problems installing the OS and pretty much have everything working except a Gnome desktop. I

[PATCH] Handle MSI irq storm
<<handle_msi_irq_storm.patch>> Hi, Keir, This patch handles MSI irq storm. Unluckily, I have observed this phenomenon again. This will happen when some kind of MSI-X capable NIC is assigned to an HVM guest. The basic idea is to mask the interrupt on receiving the second interrupt and set a timer to unmask after 1ms. Can you have a look and give some comments on that? Thanks! Best

regression: msk0 watchdog timeout and interrupt storm
Hi Yonghyeon and All, >From time to time I use a notebook and boot FreeBSD from USB stick. FreeBSD 9.2-i386 works OK. So I tried to use FreeBSD 10.0-i386 BETA2 and the network adapter works for some 10-15 seconds and then stops with diagnostic message "msk0:watchdog timeout". I've found similar case at freebsd-current@ with no workaround. Yes, there is an interrupt storm as well.

Occasional storm of xcalls on segkmem_zio_free
So I have this dual 16-core Opteron Dell R715 with 128G of RAM attached to a SuperMicro disk enclosure with 45 2TB Toshiba SAS drives (via two LSI 9200 controllers and MPxIO) running OpenIndiana 151a4 and I''m occasionally seeing a storm of xcalls on one of the 32 VCPUs (>100000 xcalls a second). The machine is pretty much idle, only receiving a bunch of multicast video streams and

contour plot for non-linear models
Hello all, I've tried to reproduce the contour plot that appears in the book of Venables and Ripley, at page 255. Is a F-statistic surface and a confidence region for the regression parameters of a non-linear model. It uses the stormer data that are in the MASS package. I haven't been able to reproduce the plot either in R ( version 1.5 ) and S. It makes the axes and it puts the

Bug ID: 26222 - SMB Storm
Please include the following to bug ID: 26222 at: http://bugs.samba.org/?findid=26222 More checking shows that closing a search window on Windows in the middle of it's search doesn't stop the SMB activity. Network utilization remains high, and it seems as if the server is stuck searching. In an attempt to verify, I created a share on Win2k, and followed the same procedure: Server:

Interrupt storm with shared interrupt on digi(4)
I have an on-going problem with DigiBoard Xem boards causing interrupt storms (since 4.x days). The FreeBSD driver polls the board and doesn't have a functional interrupt handler (and Linux behaves in the same way). It seems that under some conditions, the board will assert its interrupt line and, since there's no interrupt handler to clear whatever triggered the i...

Crazy "interrupt storm detected" on atapic0
Hi all, I have had this problem since day 1 on my new server. It has run since November 15th 2008, and serve approx. 10 GB worth of web traffic per month for the main site and then some 40 domains with mail and small web pages. (hence - it's NOT that busy yet) I started with 7.1-RELEASE-pX since I didn't have problems straight off - but it didn't last long. After a few days of

Question on Rprof(); was: Re: sapply and loop
Yes. It should have something to do with read/write permissions, but it is not clear how it happens. I can write file to C drive using R. I usually write my results matrix to a txt file in C drive. For Rprof(), the boot.out file can be created, but only with one line sample.interval=20000 The situation is the same even if I specify the directory to the D drive, where I have the full

[PATCH 0/5] Add MSI support to XEN
...or NIC interrupt since NIC interrupt is of high priority but not ACKed by XEN now. When IDE interrupt and NIC interrupt are delivered to the same CPU, and when guest OS is Vista, the phenomenon is easy to be observed. 2> Without ACK-NEW, some naughty NIC devices as we observed will bring IRQ storms. For this phenomenon, I think Yunhong can comment more. Basically, writing EOI without mask the source of MSI will bring IRQ storm. Although the reason is under investigation, XEN should anyhow handle such bogous device, right? 3> Using ACK-OLD and masking the MSI when writing EOI can be sol...
