Is it good for agent forwarding to creates socket in /tmp/
Hi After logging in to a remote server with ForwardAgent enabled, sshd on the remote server creates a socket at /tmp/ and permission is 0755/srwxr-xr-x. What is the reason to allow everyone to read this socket? Also, is it better to save this socket in /home/user/.ssh/? Best Regards ----------------------- Tran Dung

Listing machines as non-root user
I have a problem with virsh. I'm using eucalyptus software on top of xen 4 (debian squeeze). The problem is that unix user "eucalyptus" cannot see vm machines when it executes "virsh list". My libvirt version is 0.8.8-3 from debian sid repository. The same problem occurs with older versions. What is more I have tried to change unix_sock_ro_perms to "2777". After

Directories turned to sockets
A couple of days ago I noticed that a 117 directories in one of my logical volumes had turned to sockets wich fsck does not seem to fix. All the affected folders(sockets) have the following attributes srwxr-xr-x 32770 2147516917 2147516917 2147520512 and they all report the same size of 1073758212 (1.1T). Does anyone have an explanation as to how this could happen and more importandly is there a way to reverse this ? My system is Mandrake 10 with kernel 2.6.3-8mdk, if you need more info then just...
