dovecot - Sep 2007 - Stuck on an Error: " Connect to private/auth failed: Connection refused"

Hi All,

I've recently recompiled Postifx & Dovecot and I'm hitting an error
I
can't seem to chase down.

Running dovecot version 1.0.3 (dovecot -n is below)

Here's the error in my error log:

(In case it matters I recently makde postfix like so:)

The permissions on that file are so:
srwxr-xr-x 1 postfix postfix 0 Sep  9 14:38 /var/spool/postfix/private/auth
I've tried changin those but it didn't seem to matter.

That usually means no-one's listening in there. Check with netstat -ln
that something really is.

If you delete the file and restart Dovecot, does the file get created?
