I can make calls ok but when any sound is sent from the Asterisk box such as voice prompts and music on hold the sound is completely chopped up in distorted spurts. Hi, I have multiple Samba servers working very well using the tdbsam backend. The number of servers is becoming harder to manage now so I began testing an LDAP-based Samba server. Instead of a steady file copy it seems to go in spurts. If I pull out one of the network cables (doesn't matter which) performance resumes to full speed.
