So, just to play with vnics with 106, I have...
e1000g2 plumb''d with 192.168.85.10
vnic0 is created on top of e1000g2 with 192.168.85.22
I snoop on e1000g2 to see the traffic.
I ping 192.168.85.22 and it works.
I stop the snoop on e1000g2.

Is this a new feature with crossbow?
Or should I open a P1 for this?

broadcast packets from domU duplicated?
I''m running a nevada b99 guest on a nevada b99 host. The guest is
configured as a dhcp client.
When I snoop in dom0 while the guest boots, I see two back-to-back
DHCPREQUEST packets issued by the guest. The first of the two packets
has an empty UDP checksum; otherwise they seem identical.
Is this a bug?

[Bridge] bride: IPv6 multicast snooping enhancements
Hi,
Here are two, small feature changes I would like to submit to increase
the usefulness of the multicast snooping of the bridge code.
The first patch is an unaltered one I had submitted before, but since it
got no feedback I'm resubmitting it here for net-next. With the recently
added patch to disable snooping if there is no querier (b00589af + 248ba8ec05
+ 8d50af4fb), it should be a safe choice now (w...

tcpsnoop problem
Hello,
I have the following problem:
On a solaris 10 machine, with 5 "zones" there is a process that is
talking to the wrong db server. I need to find out which process this
is, so I can analize this further. I have tried to doing this using
tcpsnoop from the DTrace toolkit, but without success.
This is what I''ve done.
First I started tcpsnoop, dumping it''s output to a file. like this:
tcpsnoop > /tmp/tcp.snoop out &
Then I started a regular snoop.
snoop port 1521
and waited till I saw a packet pass. eg:

Dtrace Snooping
Dear dtrace Experts,
I have seen some dtrace utilities like opensnoop and execsnoop etc.
My interest is to write a simple script that can snoop the files which
uses the 3 syscalls like open, create, unlink.
I have gone through dtrace oneliners that can do the same :
dtrace -n ''syscall::open*:entry { printf("%s %s",execname,copyinstr(arg0))...

Capture of loopback interface messages
Hi,
I am new to DTrace.
Want to capture (for specific port #s) the loopback interface (lo0) tcp message flow with the complete message body.
Is this possible with DTrace?
Are any examples available?
Thanks,
Joe

OpenSSH 3.4p1 and OpenSSL
...2. If OpenSSH 3.4p1 does not need the OpenSSL libraries to encrypt the
data so that it can't been seen, then what is the OpenSSL libraries used
for?
3. I installed the OpenSSH3.4p1 on a Solaris 8 system without the OpenSSL
libraries. Once installed I was able to do the following:
1. Started snoop in a window. snoop port 22
1. I then executed the following command from another window :
/usr/local/bin/ssh localhost -l mak
2. I logged in.
3. When I checked the snoop output there was nothing!
What am I missing here?
Should snoop have reported output even if it WAS or was NOT encrypted?

snooping windows 10 - how to stop it on a linux gateway?
Hi all,
guys, first and foremost, i apologize, as this is not really about
samba, but i'm basically at 'ground zero' with windows 10 and how to
stop them from snooping information of the LAN PC windows users.
And i know there is some great people with windows network understanding
here on list, that is why i ask here, so please don't stone me :-)
I think everyone heard already about how windows 10 badly treat its
users privacy (and recently i learned t...

[Bridge] igmp snooping ?
Hi,
Is there an IGMP Snooping implementation in development in the bridge
module ? Is the bridge module a good place for this feature ? It is better
to add it in the module or in user space ?
Regards,
Nicolas

********************************************************************
- From a W2K client connecting to a Solaris 9 Samba server I am getting a lot
of these messages when running a snoop on the server:
samba_server -> samba_client NBT Type=SESSION MESSAGE Length=1456
samba_server -> samba_client NBT Type=Unknown Length=1456
Anybody know what these are or if it's anything to be worried about?
Cheers,

Does Netfilter library support this kind of feature.
Thanks In Anticipation

Do any other combinations of cached/uncached and snooped/non-snooped
make any sense? If so, perhaps we want to split the flags.

dedicated vnic IP zone not recieving unicast traffic
...the first nic (e1000g0) is used only for the global zone.
The second nic is used only by crossbow, for the vnic "zonevnic0", which is bound to e1000g1.
sparse-template is the zone that I''ve been trying to get to work using a dedicated IP instance using the vnic zonevnic0.
Using snoop in the zone, (or in the global zone, with "-d zonevnic0") I can see broadcast/unicast traffic going out, but only broadcast & ARP replies are coming back in again?!
So my arp is full and working as expected, I don''t get any ping replies and needless to say other hosts can'...
