I have installed Samba 2.2.8a onto a Solaris 2.5.1 system from Sunfreeware. Config file has been copied from another similar working system and all that was changed was the netbios name. Using smbpasswd to join the domain does not seem to be working. No message is displayed to say either domain joined or not. secrets file is created and an account is created on the domain.
