Optus Australia Multiline SHDSL service
...ith a VoIP solution. We have just moved our lines over to an Optus Multiline from a Telstra ISDN Onramp 30 service with 100 lines. My question for you good people is what sort of hardware do I need to interface Asterix into the Optus Multiline? The Optus service is terminated in my office to a SHDSL NTU from Adtran and has two RJ45 conenctors on the back of it. Has anybody tried this yet? Thanks in advance. Duncan

Delays on E1 Delivered via SHDSL
I have an Asterisk system with a TE110P installed and connected to an ISDN E1 PRI that is delivered via a 2mb SHDSL connection. I am experiencing delays (the type of delay you would get on an international call) during calls. I am wondering if anyone could advise, would the problem be with any part of the Asterisk system or is the problem with the fact that the ISDN is delivered over the internet?

Question regarding Split Access description
...nd section 4.2 (http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.rpdb.multiple-links.html) in relation to "Routing for multiple uplinks/providers". I''m wanting to do a similar setup to the diagram where I have - lets just say for the moment - two uplink providers where I want to route over two SHDSL lines for performance and availability. I have two separate IP ranges; one from each, and I plan to give key servers on the Local Network two IPs. In your example your ip route commands are inferring one router - if I had two routers, one connected to each of the two providers, are those setup...

redirecting traffic using iptables
Hi. I have two internet connections, the ADSL2+ is very very cheap (but fast 10mb) and I want to use the SHDSL (2mb) only for mail, ssh, http OUT and the ADSL2+ only for surfing. I all works fine if people specify the proxy in the browser, but in case like flash it of no use. Further if I can make the 80/443 traffic go through the proxy only, its an added bonus. If this can be done, fine. Bue I want all 8...

newbie - shaping a PSTN connection
...high priority terminal services traffic over the PSTN link. I would also appreciate being shown where I might find a searchable archive of this list. Thanks in advance! - Dan. PS. in case you think I''m mad running 8 users over PSTN - it''s just a stop-gap while we wait for our SHDSL installations - which should be in by the end of the month. In future I will be using the PSTN as a backup incase the SHDSL goes down though - so any shaping work will not be lost! __________________________________ Euroluce Lighting Australia PTY LTD 92-94 Tennyson Road, Mortlake, NSW 2137 Ph: (0...

TDM400P and Adtran 616 problems
I have a TDM400P (configured with 4 FXO cards) in a box that was working fine from POTS lines extracted from a Lightspan via DSC's channel bank, but when I switched over to using an Adtran 616 (weird little box, takes an SHDSL circuit in that splits out 16 analog lines via an amp connector) the card no longer seems to be able to detect ringing. I've tried upping the rxgain with no noticable effect. Does anyone else have this piece of hardware working with a TDM400P that could shed some light on this? -- Jason T. Ne...

ADSL with PPP failover
Hi - I''ve been looking around for simple answers to this for a while now, but haven''t been able to find any HOW-TO type documentation. I am administering a site with a remote location connected primarily via a cipe tunnel over a SHDSL connection. We also have a direct PSTN connection between the sites. Seeing as phone calls here are not timed I plan to keep the PSTN connection alive even when the cipe tunel is active. I am looking for information as to the best way to set up this network, so that if the cipe connection goes down...

Multiple Ogg Streams
Hello I've been playing around with Icecast, Oddcast DSP v2 and streamTranscoder, trying to get multiple streams with different bitrates in ogg format running. The source I am streaming is from Winamp 2.80 Oddcast DSP v2 serving to a linux compilation (got it from CVS just yesterday) of Icecast 2. I also compiled streamTranscoder 1.1 and after much trial got a not really stable second

bandwidth requirement
Hi Folks, have a question, on bandwidth. I want to run an asterisk server SIP to H323, g729. Calls arrive on sip/iax go to IVR get authenticated and egress through h323. So G729 license is only used during IVR and then it is pass through. I am collocating this server. Colo offer a monthly bandwidth quota. Lets say I want to do 100K minutes per month of VoIP calling at the beginning. What would

Should I choose DSL @ 1.5 or a full T1?
I'm looking to expand my bandwidth for my Asterisk PBX. Why should I choose a T1 over DSL for my asterisk server? I found someone offering T1's for $290 a month + Loops or 3 Meg for $561 a month + Loops. Is this a good deal? Thanks Bart -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Still on spandsp/app_fax and T.38
This message is pointed directly to Steve Underwood. I tought it would not be nice to directly email him with a question that interests a good part of the Asterisk community, so here it is. :) Steve, remember a few days ago when we discussed about issues on Asterisk 1.6.1.13 and T.38 fax reception? Well I opened an issue on Mantis (https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=16756) and turns out it
