My issue comes when I try and access any share that uses

The groups seems to be what breaks it, on the client side the

SAMBA PROBLEM ON LINUX

I have a problem with a user who is trying to write to a folder called

called SERVER1.
The linux directory permissions are 775 for both the cmsdocs and qcp_docs
directories.
The cmsdocs user is a member of the qcp_docs group (and visa versa but only
temporary - I am hoping to remove this requirement (the major user logons
have a group of the same name as their user logon). All f...

CIFS Session transfer
Hi All,
I would like to know if this is possible and if possible what is the
complexity.
Consider a CIFS client, SAMBA Server1 and Samba Server2.
Say a session is established between a CIFS client and SAMBA server1. Is it
possible for the SAMBA server1 to transfer/redirect/reestablish the
connection to SAMBA server2 without the CIFS client knowing about this? The
session between the CIFS client and SAMBA Server1 should b...
