I was wondering how the Dell SC420 will perform under normal office to office communications. We would equip each server with a T1 card to make office to office SIP calls. They will integrate into our existing PBX systems. Does anyone on this list use this hardware currently???? Thanks!

The SC420 does not support APIC (at least not with current BIOS). The Digium TDM400B card seems to always seek the same IRQ so it locks one down. We're using an SC420 and using BRI with a quadbri Junganns card, with IAX softphones and one hardphone. Working well except that we sometimes get dropped connections between IAX and the server with a max retries exceed message, which comes from the chan_iax driver code. The BRI side of things looks like it is fine....

The cheap ones on EBay won't work with the SC420 server. I have one and can't make any of the clones work. I do have one TDM40B card for analog stations that works well. The problem with the SC420 is that it won't let you set the interrupts yourself and you end up with interrupts being shared. ======================================...

I have tried beta2, beta3 and now back to 1.2.12.1 and I have correct DTMF tones 25% of the time. I have to call several times to enter an extension. I have a router and a packet shaper and some other stuff. Anyone have any other ideas why this might happen. I do not have any Zap channels but I am running CentOS4.
