0-client_t: null client [Invalid argument] & high CPU usage (Gluster 3.12)
FYI - I've been testing the Gluster 3.12.1 packages with the help of the SIG maintainer and I can confirm that the logs are no longer being filled with NFS or null client errors after the upgrade.

etc...
It's not an overly helpful error message as although it says a null client gave an invalid argument, it doesn't state which client and what the argument was.
I've tried strace and valgrind on glusterd as well as starting glusterd with --debug to no avail.

Changing performance.parallel-readdir to on causes CPU soft lockup and very high load all glusterd nodes
Hi,
We're using a 3-node setup where GlusterFS is running as both a client and
a server with a fuse mount-point.
We tried to change the performance.parallel-readdir setting to on for a
volume, but after that the load on all 3 nodes skyrocketed due to the
glusterd process and we saw CPU soft lockup errors in the console.
I had to completely bring down/reboot all 3 nodes and disable the

Exact purpose of network.ping-timeout
10 seconds is a very long time for files to go away for applications used at any scale, it is however what I've set our failover time to after being shocked by the default of 42 seconds.

What are the potentially negative performance impacts of disabling this?
