Let's say that group "users" should have logon batch users.bat and the members of the group "sales" should have both users.bat and sales.bat executed at logon? Hello While searching the archives and googling for : -login script to map drives according to group membership I saw lots of complicated solutions (on-the-fly scripts, group directories) etc. but the following works very well for me: I downloade dthe ifmember.exe from the microsoft website, and stuck it in the netlogon directory (not the scripts directory)

I am trying to setup Samba in a classroom so that a student's samba folder can be accessed via Windows by the student and the teacher. I have Samba working, but can only get the student access to the folder. How can I add another user or group to Samba so the teacher and student have full control over the folder? Thanks Tom

Can anyone point me to a doc or a script that shows how to generate netlogon script on the fly and supports users having multiple groups? I tried the Perl script referenced at <http://us2.samba.org/samba/docs/man/AdvancedNetworkManagement.html> but I believe it only supports the user being a member of one group. -- Andrew Gaffney

I am running RedHat 9 and samba. I need to be able to set one password for each user and sync them with ssh, web, unix password. i.e. When I change samba pass, it changes unix, ftp, etc. Is this possible with samba? I saw that it is if you are running windows and then you can change the unix pass via samba. Is this possible when running linux. I just want to easily administer my users.
