I had installed a package, I only had to call the library with the name
of the package and R will find the right one to load.
Now when I apply R CMD BATCH script1.R out1.txt, under cygwin the first
thing it reports:
R version 2.15.1 (2012-06-22) -- "Roasted Marshmallows"
After some generalities it reports
>library(rgenoud)
Error in library(rgenoud) : there is no package called 'rgenoud'

So my question is why under cygwin in a batch mode, it does not find the
installed package, which is already installed in my lapt...

Closing a multi-session disk
...ognised for reading, and I suspect that it
may be a multi-session disk which has not been closed. K3b seems to agree
with me, since it lists it as an appendable data cd. However, I can't find
any way to close the session in k3b.
I thought I remembered that it was possible to do that in xcdroast - which is
almost certainly the application that burned the disk in the first place.
However, xcdroast tells me that no disk is loaded.
That brings me to ask those of you that use command-line burning if you know
of any way I can close this disk. I suspect the files on it are ones that I

[FORGED] Re: Problem installing rgdal on a laptop running Ubuntu 16.04.1

Computers have that silly habit of being deterministic. _Installing from
source another time_ does not change the fact that you did not have your
ducks in a row in the first place. We did not change that; Michael merely
pointed you to a different pond with different ducks, ready to roast.

R-code to generate random rotation matrix for rotation testing
...want to use the matrices to create random multivariate normal matrices with common covariance structure and mean based on an observed data matrix.
The rRotationMatrix-function in the mixAK-package is an option, but as far as I can tell I need to draw rotation matrices with determinant -1 as well. Roast and Romer in the limma-bioconductor package appear to have implemented something similar, which seems not to be general enough for my purposes, however. Inspired by the code in the ffmanova-rotationtest function I thought of the following, but it appears to me that there only the covariance, not th...
