FC3 + udev + Asterisk v1.0.3 - Temporary Fix
I haven't seen anybody so far post a complex fix for the udev problems on
FC3 with the latest kernel. On that note, I have a temporary fix to allow
zaptel to load somewhat normally. I found that modifying the zaptel script
to 1) load, unload, then load the driver modules and 2) insert a pause
between modules seems to allow things to work. This assumes you have
followed the instructions

still seeking way to recover card after cursor disappears or card locks up
A couple of weeks ago, I posted a question about how to recover
a card (an Asus ENGT430 card, which the box says is a GeForce GT
430, running Mageia 1 with kernel 2.6.38.8-server-10.mga) when
the cursor had disappeared or the card had locked up while exiting
X. Thanks to Vincent Pelletier for for suggesting chvt. That
command does work to change the console, just as Alt-Ctrl-F(n) for

kmem_cache_destroy: Can't free all objects
Hello!
I am writing a FS filter that will be above the ext3 filesystem.
For my own purposes I need severl bytes in inode. There are not enough space
current inode so I need to create my own inode functions alloc_inode() &
destroy_inode().
The problem causes when destroying slab cache at removing my module (rmmod).

problem starting asterisk, unable to load chan_zap
Hi all,
I am running asterisk 1.2.18, zaptel 1.2.18, libpri 1.2.4. on a suse 10.2,
running kernel 2.6.18.2-34-default.
The zaptel drivers are loaded on boot via /etc/init.d/zaptel, but Asterisk
is unable to start. It ends with the following message:

Shorewall is eating my Asterisk egress traffic
I have four-interface Shorewall config set up. The "dmz" interface is
bridged with "net" so I can assign public IP''s to the servers in the DMZ. I
opted to do this rather than SNAT or ARP proxying because one of the servers
runs Asterisk and SIP and NAT don''t always work well together. Somehow, my
firewall config is causing a one-way audio problem in

module-init-tools ported to klibc
Halo,
I don't know if this is already done but the following two patches (one
for klibc) and a big one (several smaller incorporated to one) to
modules-init-tools enables running modprobe and friends in early user space.
There are some issues so I post here for discussion
The porting strategy was copied from the udev package. I make a file

Xen VGA Passthrough Questions
Dear David Techer,
I have read through your article on Xen VGA passthrough on
http://www.davidgis.fr.
It appears that the following command on your blog doesn''t work.
dmesg | grep 01:00.0 | grep BAR
The above command shows nothing at all. Is there an alternative solution?
Thank you very much.
Yours sincerely,
Teo En Ming (Zhang Enming)
