Hi, I'm no phone guy but I've been having quite a bit of fun messing with Asterisk. I just unwrapped my new Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) which is the new 4 port FXS PCI card. It has 4 RJ45 connectors and I'd like to hookup 4 regular phones which are RJ11. If I crip RJ45 connectors to the phone cords do I simple use the center two pins (pins 4 and 5)? Hi, I'm trying to use a Detewe TA 33-clip but there is no rj11 connector on it...only a TAE connector. I'd like to create an adapter so I need to know which TAE pins to connect to RJ 11 pins. Hi folks, Any Brits on the list got experience of hooking devices with standard BT plugs to the TDM400P? The TDM400P has the RJ11/RJ45 socket but I'm not sure if a standard adapter will do the trick or if we need to consider ring capacitors etc. Any links to buy the stuff would also be appreciated. This means that a phone in on-hook condition passes the line through back onto the outer pair of the RJ11, back into the wall outlet to the next phone's inner pair. Hey all, after hooking up some Plantronics to some Snom's (3 320's 1 360), I noticed my client is having some form of feed back on the phone. Because of Snom's "inner oddities" this is how I got it to work. Plantronic --> RJ11 --> SnomHandset Port (on Snom Base) Handset --> Plantronic jack (bottom base in the front) If I placed Plantronic(RJ11) --> Snom's Headset port, the auto lift on the Plantronic wouldn't work until the person pressed the "headset" key. Hi Asterisk Community, I have a development with a TDM11B in it. I am trying to connect this to a exchange line as well as a UK telephone and are looking for some pinout information for the FXS port. Is it the centre 2 pins that at the tip and ring. I have been digging around the Digium site but cannot seem to pick up this info. Any help appreciated. Thanks -- Gary

Does anyone have an (overhead) paging system that they like that works with SIP? We've got a client with an old paging system that (supposedly) just takes an rj11 POTS connection, but when we put an SPA Cisco adapter on it, it doesn't auto-answer the call, so paging never happens.
