what I'd like to do
ok... topology. 486 with 10BaseT card hooking into 10/100 hub hooking into 10/100 switch hooking into cisco router combining two 128KbpsISDN lines into a consolidated 256kbps line. listening on my desktop machine is fine, also 10baseT into the same hub as the server. the bitrate on the mp3's is 128 (great for listening off the HD) whats a good bitrate to encode for streaming audio? IPv6 documentation for wiki
After talking to z00dax on irc, I'm interested to help with ipv6 documentation for the wiki. I work at afrinic (an RiR) where we have around 50% of our machines running CentOS with ipv6 configured. Afrinic is also involved in pushing for IPv6 for the African continent. My login id on the wiki is: LoganVelvindron My email is logan at afrinic.net -------------- next part -------------- An

Optional WHOIS netname on login banner
I think this is probably my first post to this mailing list, so hello! Occasionally I log in to my servers from IP addresses without reverse DNS configured, so sometimes I'll see an IP I don't recognise because I can't remember what I did the day before and get a bit spooked until I WHOIS the IP and find the netname reminds me I logged in from that IP. I set out prepared to script

question about spx_fft
Hi Jean-Marc and list, Is the spx_fft function in fftwrap.c a standard fft function? void spx_fft(void *table, spx_word16_t *in, spx_word16_t *out) When I say standard, I mean the input "in" is 128 point short data for example and the output "out" is 128 short complex value which is stored in 256 short array with real and image part. Looks like the function did some

Suddenly getting lots of "Unable to send packet: Address Family mismatch between source/destination" but ONLY on 1 of 2 VPSs in same datacentre.
Two VPSs. Identical setups with the exception of the extension. Same version of everything, Asterisk 14.1, Ubuntu 16.10, same firewall rules and so on - box 2 was cloned from box 1. Both VPSs run in the same datacentre. Suddenly, after weeks of OK, I'm getting lots of this on ONE box only: [Nov 4 21:23:04] NOTICE[1468]: res_hep.c:466 hep_queue_cb: Unable to send packet: Address Family

IPV4 is nearly depleted, are you ready for IPV6?
Seeing as IPV4 is near it's end of life (http://www.internetnews.com/infra/article.php/3915471/IPv4+Nearing+Final+Days.htm), I'm curios as who know whether everyone is ready for the changeover to IPV6? Is anyone using it in production already, and what are your experiences with it? -- Kind Regards Rudi Ahlers SoftDux Website: http://www.SoftDux.com Technical Blog:

IP drop list
I wonder if there is an easy way to provide dovecot a flat text file of ipv4 #'s which should be ignored or dropped? I have accumulated 45,000+ IPs which routinely try dictionary and 12345678 password attempts. The file is too big to create firewall drops, and I don't want to compile with wrappers *if* dovecot has an easy ability to do this. If dovecot could parse a flat text file of
