Polycom-Asterisk hints/presence
I set up hints and presence monitoring on some Polycom phones connected to an asterisk server with the expectation that the phones that are "watching" other extensions would be notified when the other extension sis ringing, in addition to the other statuses (on the phone, statuses set by the user on the phone, not registered, etc). I can see when the line is in use, and when it is

Polycom SoundPoint... Gains - Which is for speakerphone
now that I have finally figured out what I was doing wrong with my polycom phone and got it to read the configuration file Im changing some gains. I successfully changed the gain for the ringer... It was too low for me. Does anyone know which gain would be for the call waiting and which tone would be for the "hands free" mode? Thanks

Executive Assistant Guidance
Looking for two things: 1. Anyone that has dialplan logic for an executive assistant. My owners want their extensions to ring on her phone, and be very obvious to her which extension is ringing. They also want her to have presense. She's got Polycom IP 650 with sidecar, they have IP 550 phones. Thusfar I've got her registering to 4 extensions. Each extension is labeled with an

Polycom SoundPoint IP 300 Configuration

And the ringer seems low. - Even all the way up Anyone willing to point out a good asterisk

One Extension - Two Calls?
I'm trying to figure out how to allow an extension to register more than once. For instance, I have all of these 4 line IP phones that I use with Asterisk and I would like to have a persons extension (say 101) ring at all four lines so that if the person is on the phone they can take another call, but it appears as though if you try to register the same extension more than once then the most

Feedback needed! FindMe/FollowMe Feature Spec.
Hello all, I'm going to tackle learning C this week, and start writing my first * add-on/contribution; assuming it's actually worthy of contributing once it's done.. I think I've chosen a hefty project for my first go round here... I'd like to get some feedback from everyone on a FindMe/FollowMe spec I've put together. Before you read on, let me say, I don't want

Polycom phones w/ two lines on different servers
Hi all - This isn't really directly Asterisk related, but has anyone successfully set up a Polycom phone to register two lines on two different Asterisk boxes? I can get the first line to register, but the second one does not. I can still place calls from that second line, which indicates to me the server, user, and secret are correct. I'm running the newest 2.6 series firmware with the

Polycom 601 problems with multiple registrations
I'm stumped on this one and any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to get my Polycom 601 to have multiple extensions on it. For example, on line 1 I want extension 21, on line 2 I want extension 22, and on line 3 I want extension 23. Ideally I'd actually have each extension appear on 2 lines and therefore filling up all 6. I should be able to do that with the

Polycom phones
I have a couple of Polycom phones, bootrom 2.5.0, SIP 1.3.1.0056. Works great with Asterisk when I power on the phone. However, after some time, say an hour, I cannot receive calls on this phone. On Asterisk, when I do "database show", it does show the phone in there, but it cannot reach the phone. Is there a way to keep alive the connection with Polycom? Any suggestions? Thanks, --
