TRW: getters and setters
Hi all,
I mentioned this on the forum but wasn''t sure if
anyone was paying attention. I was just wondering if
it would be possible to replace the
get_something/set_something style methods with the
more Rubyish something/something= style (i.e. uniform
access).
For example, the Button class currently has
button.get_label and button.set_label("foo"). It
would give me warm,

And here I thought that Osama got his money from the Americans for
helping them out long ago. Turns out they've just been stealing it.

Samba and NT4-sp5 problems ??
We were using Samba 2.0.2 and Windows NT4-sp3 quite happily.. however
someone wants to use sp5 (get me a large caliber rifle, PLEASE!!), and
during some testing we noticed what 'looks like' file corruption problems.
Files do not seem to get written to the samba shares properly/completely...
I say looks like, because copying the files manually seems to be fine, but
when done within an app, they seem to be getting...

Eliminate border in wireframe plot
How can I eliminate the border drawn by default around a wireframe plot? I've tried using border=NA and box=FALSE to no avail.

Custom functions and facts
Hello!
I''ve been trying to use facts from Facter in a custom function. I''ve
been following Matthew''s entry in the wiki
(http://www.reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/WritingYourOwnFunctions).
What i''m seeing is that Facter[''fqdn''].value is always returning the
fqdn of the puppetmaster host. I was expecting the fqdn of the client
host.

git conversion progress
I've pushed 2.10pre to
git at gitorious.org:reposurgeon/reposurgeon.git
and there's a new version of the conversion metadata at
git at gitorious.org:reposurgeon/nut-conversion.git
I'm not entirely happy with the branch link deduction, but I think
this is the best we're going to do without manual intervention to
break some harmless but spurious parent links.

When is the maildir quota usages recalculated and written to the

I'm using 1.1.4, and I reset the quotas for my users by just taking

problems with squirrelmail and TLS (debian unstable)
Heylas,
So, okay, I've had this lovely IMAP server running, and adore the ease
of configuration, among other things. Problem, though.
I'm trying to set up SquirrelMail, so that some folks with accounts on
my box can use it without having to set up a proper imap client (or can
check mail when they're at a cafe, or like that). However, I *won't*

Patchy 'front-end' package installation problems using -R- 2.15.1
...indows or Linux. This problem is now occurring regardless of whether I use RStudio, as I am currently (v0.96.304), or when running -R- from the Konsole terminal; although this would be perhaps unsurprising to you. All of the above attempts had the option to install dependencies selected.
Now, after rifling the list archives, I found that the following post
https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-sig-debian/2011-November/001711.html
pointed to a solution from the terminal, which worked:

CentOS 4.3 occasionally locking up accessing IDE drive
For those who haven't seen my several previous postings about problems
with this (now not quite so) new PC, I have an ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe
motherboard. The boot drive and primary filesystems are on an SATA
disk and I'm having no problem with that. However, I recently plugged
in a couple of IDE drives salvaged from my old PCs and I'm running
into trouble with one of those.
The drive
