Sorting by computed temporary field
Hey all, I''m rather new to Ruby and Rails (and not great with SQL), but I''m developing a ride sharing app and would like to be able to sort on something I don''t have stored. I have users, events, and rides, each of which has a zip code. Events have_many rides, and rides belong_to events. When an event is selected, I''d like to be able to show a list of

RIDE-ME
I know these forums are typically for questions and such, but I thought some of you may be interested in this... For the past couple months I''ve been working on a Windows based IDE for Rails development in my spare time. It closely resembles Visual Studio in many respects, so if you''re a former ASP .NET developer like me, you''ll feel right at home. RIDE-ME is still

xennet: skb rides the rocket: 20 slots
Hi Ian, Today i fired up an old VM with a bittorrent client, trying to download some torrents. I seem to be hitting the unlikely case of "xennet: skb rides the rocket: xx slots" and this results in some dropped packets in domU, I don''t see any warnings in dom0. I have added some extra info, but i don''t have enough knowledge if this could/should be prevented from

memory issue
Hi all, I use an application named ride (from raisonance: C compiler) under linux (RHE3) through wine. I compile a lot of separated applications. the app wine_loader takes more and more memory. the application stops once the memory size taken by wine_loader is more than 100MB. I would appreciate any advice from you. Regards.

Cleanup at session expiration
I''m going to explicitly time out sessions if they''re idle more than X minutes. Like online banking sites do. How do I set things up so that, when a session expires, a set of database records and a set of files that may have been created (which are identified via a seperate set of database records) are deleted just before the session data? TIA, Bill

Multple domains, same application, different CSS, some over-rides
I am building a site that will have several different branded versions of the same site in order to do some SEO coverage. e.g www.foo.com, www.foo.co.uk and www.bar.com There are many discussions on sub-domains but I would like to come up with a solution to support the following: 1. multiple domains supported as virtual hosts on Apache acting as a proxy where I anticipate Rewrites to do

[LLVMdev] Cross-compiling for cortex-m3: how do I get ride of -ccc-gcc-name ?
Hi there, I'm using clang to cross compile for cortex-m3. I eventually managed to do so with clang++ -ccc-gcc-name arm-none-linux-gnueabi-g++ -ccc-host-triple thumbv7m-none-gnueabi source.cpp -c -mcpu=cortex-m3 I would like to understand what -ccc-gcc-name does exactly and how can I get ride of it? >From what I understand, it's needed by the driver in order to find the binutils for

Any way to over-ride the "-q" option to debug a possible race condition?
...e condition, it is not disconnecting after some time, that I have been able to verify. The most obvious thing I can think of to do is include LogLevel DEBUG in my .ssh/config to try and trace what is going on, but the ssh process is being launched with a "-q" embedded in it which is over-riding this. I am hopeful that there is something I can set to short-circuit the "-q", although I realise that the chance of their being some undocumented option is small (but finite). For reference ssh -V OpenSSH_5.3p1, OpenSSL 1.0.0-fips 29 Mar 2010 impi 4.1 The structure is that mpirun sta...

[LLVMdev] Cross-compiling for cortex-m3: how do I get ride of -ccc-gcc-name ?
Making a symlink to clang in the same directory as the GCC / binutils (I'll call it $ARM_BIN) called arm-none-linux-gnueabi-clang (and one with clang++ too) and another link in the $ARM_BIN/../lib directory to clang directory located under clang's lib (for includes) should be enough. Over-riding changes in modules and classes
Hello puppet gurus, maybe one of you can help with this. We have a bunch of servers that are managed by puppet, but would like to make a single, small change to a text file only on newly built machines. This text file is controlled by a module that is referenced in several places in our current configuration files. So the question would be, is there a straightforward way to have this new config

Astricon Ride From Airport to Conf Hotel
Hi All, I'm arriving around noon in Phoenix on Tuesday the 25'Th and wouldn't mind sharing a cab or car service. I spoke with the hotel and the 'Super Shuttle' service can take 2-3 hours because the resort is the last stop on the route. A cab or car service will only take 30-40 minutes. If anyone is coming in around the same time and needs a ride, contact me off-list.

NEW RAILS SITE: Riding two bubbles at the same time
Today we finally opened the doors to "Street Easy" (http:// www.streeteasy.com/), a Real Estate Research Site for New York City. It was built by two guys in three months. It doesn''t have tags, but it has google maps. It rides two bubbles at the same time. It''s like road kill: the price tags will shock you, but you won''t be able to stop browsing around.

Q: Can I over-ride the value of ${CALLERIDNAME} ?
Folks, I'd like to change the value of ${CALLERIDNAME} for incoming PSTN calls from certain numbers, but haven't found a way that works. The goal is to provide more informative names on my phones' caller ID displays--e.g., I would prefer to display "ROB CELL" instead of "CELLULAR CALL" when I call home from my cell phone. This is what I tried in the context
