Sorting by computed temporary field
Hey all, I''m rather new to Ruby and Rails (and not great with SQL), but I''m developing a ride sharing app and would like to be able to sort on something I don''t have stored. I have users, events, and rides, each of which has a zip code. Events have_many rides, and rides belong_to events. When an event is selected, I''d like to be able to show a list of rides to that ev...

RIDE-ME
...may be interested in this... For the past couple months I''ve been working on a Windows based IDE for Rails development in my spare time. It closely resembles Visual Studio in many respects, so if you''re a former ASP .NET developer like me, you''ll feel right at home. RIDE-ME is still in the early stages of development, but I''m using it every day to create a large Rails app, and it''s working great. Check it out at: <a href="www.projectrideme.com">ProjectRideMe.com</a> I''m also actively seeking C# / Rails developers...

xennet: skb rides the rocket: 20 slots
Hi Ian, Today i fired up an old VM with a bittorrent client, trying to download some torrents. I seem to be hitting the unlikely case of "xennet: skb rides the rocket: xx slots" and this results in some dropped packets in domU, I don''t see any warnings in dom0. I have added some extra info, but i don''t have enough knowledge if this could/should be prevented from happening ? [16798.629141] xennet: skb rides the rocket: 19 slot...

Cleanup at session expiration
I''m going to explicitly time out sessions if they''re idle more than X minutes. Like online banking sites do. How do I set things up so that, when a session expires, a set of database records and a set of files that may have been created (which are identified via a seperate set of database records) are deleted just before the session data? TIA, Bill

Multple domains, same application, different CSS, some over-rides
...SS to use, affiliate-id and where to store cached files from sort of look-up. 4. User only ever sees parameters in the url without any domain- specific information included i.e. www.foo.co.uk/quote/read not www.foo.co.uk/foo/quote/read 5. The session data will be domain specific. 6. Ability to over-ride views and come action controller classes by domain if necessary. I am a little confused about routes.rb, apache rewrites and some of the available plug-ins. So for example, where should I parse the http header? I would be grateful if someone could let me know if I am thinking about this in compl...

[LLVMdev] Cross-compiling for cortex-m3: how do I get ride of -ccc-gcc-name ?
Hi there, I'm using clang to cross compile for cortex-m3. I eventually managed to do so with clang++ -ccc-gcc-name arm-none-linux-gnueabi-g++ -ccc-host-triple thumbv7m-none-gnueabi source.cpp -c -mcpu=cortex-m3 I would like to understand what -ccc-gcc-name does exactly and how can I get ride of it? >From what I understand, it's needed by the driver in order to find the binutils for calling the assembler and the linker. Is that correct? After some grep'ing I ended up in gcc::Common::ConstructJob, where the option value is retrieved, but I'm not sure how does it fit with...

Any way to over-ride the "-q" option to debug a possible race condition?
I have a slightly complicated question. I am using an mpi application (Intel impi) which uses ssh to launch applications. For about 0.1-0.2% of the ssh connections I end up with a zombie, i.e. ps will show [ssh] <defunct>. Something is going wrong with the ssh when it starts, perhaps a race condition, it is not disconnecting after some time, that I have been able to verify. The most obvious

Over-riding changes in modules and classes
...renced in several places in our current configuration files. So the question would be, is there a straightforward way to have this new config put in place *only* on newly built machines, but not on all the previously existing ones? I''m thinking that perhaps there''s a way to over-ride the config put in place by the existing module without having to copy all of our profiles, etc. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Astricon Ride From Airport to Conf Hotel
...39;Th and wouldn't mind sharing a cab or car service. I spoke with the hotel and the 'Super Shuttle' service can take 2-3 hours because the resort is the last stop on the route. A cab or car service will only take 30-40 minutes. If anyone is coming in around the same time and needs a ride, contact me off-list. Thanks. JR -- JR Richardson Engineering for the Masses

NEW RAILS SITE: Riding two bubbles at the same time
Today we finally opened the doors to "Street Easy" (http:// www.streeteasy.com/), a Real Estate Research Site for New York City. It was built by two guys in three months. It doesn''t have tags, but it has google maps. It rides two bubbles at the same time. It''s like road kill: the price tags will shock you, but you won''t be able to stop browsing around. And I''m not going to waste your time or mine telling you what framework we used to build it. Go take a look, play with it and see if yo...

Q: Can I over-ride the value of ${CALLERIDNAME} ?
Folks, I'd like to change the value of ${CALLERIDNAME} for incoming PSTN calls from certain numbers, but haven't found a way that works. The goal is to provide more informative names on my phones' caller ID displays--e.g., I would prefer to display "ROB CELL" instead of "CELLULAR CALL" when I call home from my cell phone. This is what I tried in the context
