Update to 1503 release problem
...to 7.1 and today I've noticed on 2 server
that postgresql systemd file was replaced with default values. This make
postgres to no start and webserver give me problem. This problem was
fixed and now all works good. It's normal that on major update I can get
this problem? If so, I've ridden release change but I have not ridden
about postgresql problem.
Someone had the same issue?

New to asterisk? RUN... don't walk.
...find almost no
documentation on it's features. Second, if you try to
ask questions, you will be flamed and pointed to
worthless how-tos and 'the wiki'. These worthless
documents can only be useful for explaining how things
work to those already in-the-know. Lastly, Asterisk
is so bug ridden, expect frequent segmentation faults.
With a community so 'anti-n00b', don't expect your
problems to be fixed anytime soon.
RUN!!! Don't walk... away from Aterisk.

Thank you Rowland for your answer.
I've ridden this doc, correct me if I'm wrong, but It explain how to
join a domain for workstation/fileserver/other. After configuring and
joining the domain, winbind in nsswitch.conf permit to see other user on
the new member machine. So if you need to set permission you can.
I don't want join a...

OT: finding a designer (bit of a rant)
...anywhere
throughout your site.
So I advertised on craigslist, and in a few web design forums (in the jobs
section). I''ve had easily 100 replies (mostly craigslist), here''s my
breakdown:
80 offshore sweatshops, who would be delighted to butcher my site with table
based, flash ridden "eye catching" designs
5 front page/dreamweaver users who would be equally delighted to charge me
for pressing a few buttons
5 developers who dont even mention design, xhtml or css in their email but
who still want to work for me
4 developers who genuinely get css/accessibility but who...

I've used drbd in the past with success, but now there isn't drbd on
the official repo but only from elrepo. I want follow centos Line and
than switch to GlusterFS.
Said that, I'm new to GlusterFS.
I have two hosts with a 2tb disk space for replica.
I've ridden that glusterfs is not compatible with smb/cifs/nfs and that
for this purpose I must mount locally the volume and share it with samba
and the hosts must act as client and server at the same time.
It is possibile shares a mounted disk on /data with samba, and apply a
replica volume on /data witho...

Cleanup at session expiration
I''m going to explicitly time out sessions if they''re idle more than X minutes. Like online banking sites do.
How do I set things up so that, when a session expires, a set of database records and a set of files that may have been created (which are identified via a seperate set of database records) are deleted just before the session data?
TIA,
Bill

Kareo please help
...bsite.
I tried to get support to help me but they are not interested and asked me to use Windows instead. They don't support Linux and show no interest in doing so.
I am open to any ideas except for keeping windows on all my pcs. I love Ubuntu and I have not desire to go back to the other bug ridden and virus infested software.
Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated,

C7 Kernel module compilation

I tried using scl gcc7 and 8 but get the same issue.
I checked that retpoline is related to Spectre but checking on centos with:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/spectre_v2
I get:
Mitigation: IBRS (kernel), IBPB
and RETPOLINE seems disabled (I'm wrong?).
I ridden in a blog post that I can disable this check commenting out
some lines starting from N. 166 of arch/Makefile but I don't think this
is the best approach.
At this point I can't understand what means the previous error and why I
get this error when compiling i2c-nct6775.

sshd problem on reboot
...quot;Connection refused".
I've noticed that all public services were online.
So I've contacted my provider to get access to the server and I've
noticed that ssh was started with my specified port. I've tried to log
locally on server and I got connection refused. So I've ridden logs and got:
error: bind to port MYPORT in LOCALIP failed: cannot assign requested
address.
I've restarted sshd and problem "was solved".
Now I can't try to replicate this error because I can't reboot the server.
My addressing config is:

I wold like to know if this problem persists on the latest releases.
Thanks in advance.

I do see a few comments that seem to point out his arrogance and some
disgust about OpenBSD's RCSID, but has anybody found it to be unsecure or if
it was bug ridden. The subject sorta dies right there. If you follow the
links on www.vandyke.com, they still seem to be maintaining the patch...
Even if it was never going to be part of the RFC and might be only mildly
popular is there a technical reason the OpenSSH project's source should not
include his patc...

Wine + Picasa2 + OSX: Cannot get an internet connection
...a 2 on Mac OS 10.5, everythings working really well - except whenever I attempt to use it to connect to the net (by signing into my Google account) Picasa reports that it is unable to connect. It seem's there is no net connection available to it.
I have Wine version 0.9.54 and haven't over-ridden any of the default config options.
I've checked round online and haven't seen any similar problems, so any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks

Log file confusion
...checked for multiple smb.conf files and the init script for
anything that might indicate a log setting but keep coming up just
scratching my head.
Does anyone have any light to shed on where the log.%m keeps coming
from? Is this something that can be compiled into the package that
is not over-ridden by the conf?
Thanks in advance for any hints on this. I know it's a little thing
but it's driving me nuts...

unless connected? + multiple databases

What I need to say essentially is that When it comes to the connection
this class doesn''t inherit the connections.
Does anyone know a way to do this?
I have tried having an intermediate class that this one inherits from
where the establish connection is over-ridden but if connected? doesn''t
see a connection there is still tracks up to ActiveRecord::Base instead
of saying "Ok, it isn''t in this class, I''ll establish a new connection"
This is all what I think is happening. I am a beginner so if I am
missing something obvi...
