RAID Resynch...??
So still coming up to speed with mdadm and I notice this morning one of my servers acting sluggish...so when I looked at the mdadm raid device I see this: mdadm --detail /dev/md0 /dev/md0: Version : 0.90 Creation Time : Mon Sep 27 22:47:44 2010 Raid Level : raid10 Array Size : 976759808 (931.51 GiB 1000.20 GB) Used Dev Size : 976759808 (931.51 GiB 1000.20 GB) Raid

IMAPS error with Dovecot?
...while writing to the resource. Changing the flags of message imaps://my at myserver.com:993/INBOX/;UID=0,1866921748,1866921754,1866921769,1866921777:1866921783,1866921795,1866921800,1866921824:1866921828,1866921834 failed." It happens whever I mark a message as "read" and then resynch up with imap. I can *delete* messages just fine, I just can't change the flags on a message. I've scanned thru the /var/log/maillog, /var/log/secure, /var/log/messages and found nothing out of the ordinary. I've checked the permissions of the /var/spool/mail/myaccount and /home/myac...

Bitrate problem
...nd PC receives audio packets at arround 8100 Hz but it is confiured for 8000 Hz. So there are overflows in the directsound buffer at receiver end at periodic interval [in my case after every 30 sec], than I flush the buffer which makes some distortion. What should be approapriate solution for this resynch problem? Thanks Shantanu __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! [LLVMdev] running test-suite in cross compilation/execution
...to a mips linux box to just execute the tests. To do this cross compilation and testing, we have made our own TEST.xxx... scripts that are heavily customized. We have made other modifications to various files in test-suite. I'm not sure the total extent but it takes some work each time we resynch it all to the tip of tree. I want to push all of this into the LLVM trunk in some intelligent way so that it's consistent with what is already there and so that people that are outside of Mips can just check out an LLVM/Clang tree and build the compiler and run test-suite. Is Apple alread...

Time moving backwards error
I'm running dovecot on an OpenBSD 3.7 server and after upgrading to RC25, the daemon started exiting with: Fatal: Time just moved backwards (1173221579 -> 1173221578)! This might cause a lot of problems, so I'll just kill myself now. After upgrading to RC26, I've gotten the error: Error: Time just moved backwards by 1 seconds. I'll sleep now until we're back in

dovecot 0.99.14 and imaps (SSL) "hangs"
...aders, and then caches all messages in my mailboxes. However, if I do this while connected to dovecot using SSL (imaps, port 993) the connection times out roughly every two minutes, and the IMAP client must close the connection, reconnect and resume operations from where it left off. This makes resynching a 40000 message 300MB folder take VERY long :-) Using the same client, connected to the same server and syncing the same mailbox connecting to regular imap port (no TLS, port 143), everything works smoothly. The very same client, server and mailbox works flawlessly with uw-imapd and SSL....

[LLVMdev] test-suite
I run the test suite by CD-ing into /projects/test-suite and running "make TEST=simple -j 4". ...LLVMdev at cs.uiuc.edu http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu >> http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/mailman/listinfo/llvmdev I was running on ubuntu but just typed "make" in test-suite. When I type "make TEST=simple" it seems to work ok, with about 3 or 4 failures from other tests. I am resynching source right now to see if those problems go away.

denyhosts-2.9-4.el7 not resync'ing
Everyone, It is apparent that the epel version of denyhosts on Centos 7 which is denyhosts-2.9-4.el7.noarch does not resynch with : SYNC_SERVER = http://xmlrpc.denyhosts.net:9911 According to : https://www.centos.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=56989 the problem is related to a version update problem in the epel repositories. I submitted a bugzilla report : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1502251...

more info on apple mail vs dovecot 0.99

Permission problems on Win 7 x64
...er, created an D:\Users\ Jack_Walter \Tools\Rsync\etc\fstab file with: none /cygdrive cygdrive binary,posix=0,user,noacl 0 0 but the fstab option seems only be viable if _both_ machines are using it and I have no control on what Strato HiDrive does. How can I avoid these weird permissions on the resynched local file? It would be the best option if all files only get the inherited permissions from the drive they are synched too. Regards, Jack

How can one set/reset machine account passwords
Scenario: a) Samba with an ldap backend. b) The ldap database becomes irretrievably corrupted. c) I roll in a new ldap database from a known good copy. d) Problem is the passwords for the machine accounts are out of date. e) Is it possible to coax Samba & the clients (mostly XP) to resynch their passwords? f) I want to preserve the client computers SIDs & names. g) I really don't want to have to rejoin them to the domain h) I really don't want to have to visit each client computer individually.

About the FreeBSD Security Advisories
Hello.. I've noticed a delay between when the security advisories are sent and when the cvsup servers, ftp mirrors and web mirrors are updated. Is this delay on purpose to give the users some time to update/patch their system(s) before it hit pages like bugtraq, etc.. or is it just a caused by the delay between when the ftp/cvsup servers are synced? Best regard, Jesper Wallin

nss_ldap: reconnected to LDAP server ldap://127.0.0.1
Hello, I have a problem that I'm really having trouble figuring out. I run CentOS Linux 5.5. I have three servers. All have been setup and running with LDAP authentication for a couple years with absolutely no problems. Unfortunately a couple weeks ago, we had a power outage. Ever since, I am having continuous problems with authentication to the server. I see in /var/log/messages

[LLVMdev] test-suite
I'm trying to run test-suite for x86 in order to verify a target independent patch before I put it back. The patch has been approved. What is the best way to run it in order to get maximum coverage and have results where I can tell that I have not regressed anything (as well as the test-suite can help with that)? I've already tested it against the Mips compiler but we have a slightly
