I run an Internet Radio on laut.fm - which allows also live streaming So keep the streaming keys and passwords secret, but let other DJs stream to this server, I like to setup an icecast re-stream server. I tryed icecast as a server on my own dedicated internet server but I do not see a re-stream option in the icecast config. Is there a possibility to let my

EZStream: Can it stream a URL?
Got'ny good ideas for doing that then? I want to connect to a stream for restreaming, for lack of a better term. https://gist.github.com/oneman/5394332 This is a little hack for sending -live encoded- WebM streams to Icecast from STDIN. An example (I was using libav from git, params likely different between libav, ffmpeg etc programs) avconv -v debug -f video4linux2 -s 320x240 -r 10 -i /dev/video0 -vcodec libvpx -threads 2 -vb 128k -r 10 -f webm pipe:1 | krad_pipe2 europa.kradradio.com 8008

EZStream: Can it stream a URL?
Additional to my earlier post, I was also thinking of a single broadcast relay, but it's not possible to start it and stop it on demand. One way around this might be to load a special Icecast XML with the relay in it at the program's broadcast time, then reload the regular one when the relayed program ends. Klugey, but it could work I suppose. On Thu, 08 Oct 2015 06:20:47 +0000, you

David, Does this work with already-existing WebM files, as in, does it parse them to only output at the appropriate rate? Or, is this meant only for realtime sources that are already appropriately rate-limited by their nature? Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
I have been playing with Icecast only for a couple of days, and I am trying to figure out how to do something. I want a listener to have to only deal with one stream, but I want to be able to switch the source of that stream between multiple sources (DJs). The core idea is that the listener only deals with /live.mp3 while in the background I can problematically switch between a series of live

Ambisonics Proposal summary.
Hi all, My apologies for the confusion ... but I am re-naming this thread again because the proposal doesn't come from Ambisonia. As the founder of Ambisonia I have only been 'mediating' between some members of the ambisonic community ... so it would be wrong to associate the spec with Ambisonia. To clarify. This is what the spec proposes: - that Mapping = 1 means the contents are

Icecast streaming https
I am struggling to get icecast running with https, but I cannot get it working My environment is: Debian 10 (Buster) I tried the standard debian package but there is no SSL capability at all. So I compiled the icecast-2.4.4.tar.gz contents with ./configure --with-curl --with-openssl; make; make install I always get the error: [2020-02-05 17:35:36] INFO connection/get_ssl_certificate

FAX over IAX
Hi, We are looking at consolidating our lines with PRI. This will allow the elimination of many fax lines. Some of them will be replaced with this type of config ... PRI * IAX * Channel-Bank FAX We will have daggressor suppressor enabled. Is anyone doing this and should I expect smooth operation? Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
At WXBH-LP we had a similar need, and we solved it using mpd (music player daemon) to coordinate our feed to icecast. mpd is a music player (supporting playlists, etc.) originally designed for local network streaming, but it has several attributes that make it suitable for other things: * Items in its playlists can be local audio files or remote streams (e.g. DJ streams). * It

some (basic?) development questions...
Pardon my ignorance, as I just started playing with Ogg stuff a few days ago, but I'd appreciate some help if someone has time... I was trying to write a very basic comment editor for Ogg Vorbis files. I think I mostly have it working, but it seems to output slightly broken streams. Here's a basic overview of what I'm doing; could someone tell me if I've got the right basic

What kind of Ogg Vorbis-services you would like to have?
Hi! What kind of services, which use Ogg Vorbis or create value to Ogg Vorbis-user, you are interested? I'm a student at Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, and I'm taking a course in which we are supposed to create business plan for some new business. So, I happened to bump to Ogg Vorbis in the Intenet, and I Thought, Wow that's a really interesting product
