RoR Developer needed - short-term assignment
...could really use a RoR developer. It''s time
to move away from the core PHP implementation we''ve got. This IS a PAID
position... and we''d assist by providing the templates, css, etc... and
could turn into ongoing development work.
I''ve posted a listing on the Rentacoder site (url is:
http://www.rentacoder.com/RentACoder/misc/BidRequests/ShowBidRequest.asp?lngBidRequestId=423716
-- helps to move the transaction).
I''d love to run with Ruby on Rails rather than the standard PHP
environment we''re with currently -- it seems a fitting way to deve...

Where to recruit Ruby on Rails developers?
Anyone have suggestions on where to recruit Ruby on Rails developers?
My startup''s in Berkeley, CA and I''m looking for a talented technical
lead. I''ve tried LinkedIn and Craigslist but the pickings are slim. This
project provides an opportunity to use OpenLaszlo.

QoS script for gw without NAT?
I''ll take it from the begining... About one year ago I only had 1 IP and
used wondershaper. It worked great. Now I got /27 (32 IPs) and a gw
computer that talks to two ISPs via a two tunnels. See:
http://www.flashdance.cx/pics/flashdance-LAN.png
I _really_ have a need to do QoS on my connection, for example I host
websites that uses all available upstream. When I download at the same

PDF Shipping Order from Rails...BOUNTY
Hello Rails Community,
I put this request out to the community a few weeks ago and got one reply and he ended up being too busy to do it.
So, let me try again. I have a need to generate a shipping order from an application that is rails driven. All the data for the shipping order is contained within two tables. I feel like it it too cumbersome to map out all the coordinates for the

Freelance Rate
Hi,
Not sure where to address this question ... but I guess this is a good
start. I am a freelance Rails developer - and have been developing Rails
apps professionally for about a year now. I just want to get an idea of
what you other freelancers charge yourselves out at. I have been
charging the equivalent of about $28/hour, but get a sense that I
could/should charge a whole lot more. I am

HELP - My Programmers are AWOL !!
I hired a friend of a friend to build my company a fairly substantial
application. He quoted it, committed to it, and now says he has run out
of money.
I''ve offered him additional money/incentives ...twice. He continues to
commit, and then, ultimately not make his commitment.
I''m not sure what my options are.
Ideally, I would like to simply fire him and hire someone to
