Worst of all, I could swear I've brought home similar media

wine under earlier releases of Fedora ...

Copy data from XP to same app under Wine??
...ave added so
far to it into the Wine installation.
Could this be done? I know nothing of actually connecting M$
machines to linux ones; but could I perhaps burn a CD on one of the XP
machines, and then read it with Wine and copy that data in??
If so, how?

to be parts of Wine that I don't have yet; but the full release is due
out in a week, and I'll try again after that.
What I want most, of course, is all that personal GPS data;
transferring from one GPS after another is tedious.

the number of waypoints it says I have). By the time you close all those,
it crashes; and on re-launch, it has no waypoints.
I'm wondering if the paid version would be any better ...

Is there a web-based server status package?
I have a small squirrelmail server using Postfix & Dovecot, and I
would like to add a web-based "status" screen to remotely check its
health. Is there a preferred packaged for doing this?
I mostly want to monitor disk space usage, and CPU utilization.

Repo question
...#39;t seem to be any help/discussion lists such as this for
SL, or I haven't found them. So I'm guessing that this is the nearest
thing to one -- and also that, just maybe, a repo for CentOS would be the
canonical first choice for my need.
Clues, please?

Re: Getting WIne to see hidden folders in Linux?
Sorry to jump off-topic but you may be the person I need to talk to. I'm a new user of Linux/Wine (but have a ton of computer experience). I installed ImgBurn under Wine today and it appears to run correctly but does not actually write to the cd
Is it ok if I pm you with a bit more detail?
Thanks,
Lou

How do you make wine do real uninstalls?

I realize the fault is most likely in Windows (XPPro/SP2 here),
or in the software itself.
But even so, there must be a way for linux to trash the whole
b'ilin' and start over ....
