Post hoc analysis for ANOVA with repeated measures
...; In attachment you find the table I am using, you can access it by means of: scrd<- read.csv(file='/Users/....../tables_for_R/table_quality_gravel.csv',sep=',',header=T) The data are from an experiment where participants had to evaluate on a seven point likert scale the realism of some stimuli, which are presented both in condition "A" and in condition "AH". Thanks in advance Best regards

tables with Unicode box drawing characters?
...tgreSQL-inspired proposed format. I also read the mailing list archives for 2009 but did not find any clear concesus on whether DW's format was officially accepted (I hope it is soon!). However, I want to ask: has anyone considered taking these simple ASCII table drawings to the next level of realism with Unicode box drawing characters[2]? I have long admired the w3m browser[3]'s ability to render HTML tables using Unicode box drawing characters. For example, w3m renders this[4] demo page as follows[5]: A more complex table-within-a table. An inner tabl...

[LLVMdev] LLVM IR is a compiler IR
...I'm not interested in LLVM improving - quite the contrary. My email was to rebut Dan's implicit claim that PNaCL and using LLVM as a portable IR is never going to work. I'm arguing in the "opencl" and "pnacl" folks favor :) That said, I'm trying to also inject realism. Super EF2000 and wine
Hi Did anyone managed to get Super EuroFighter 2000 working with wine? I found a solution (and got to it before on my own also) but it doesn't exactly work for me. the command wine PROGRAM/_SUPERW.EXE DID=. quick_flag=1 GUI does start the game, but the problem is, I get a blank screen :\ I once had a problem like this in Win2000Pro, but after some 'compatibility settings' tuning I

Fake Directx hardware pixel shader
...n 1.1 to run this game!" Most of you are probably thinking maybe i should get a new graphics card, no thanks, i rather never play the game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel_shaders "A pixel shader serves to manipulate a pixel color, usually to apply an effect on an image, for example; realism, bump mapping, shadows, and explosion effects" i don't care if its pink dots over black, i just want to see blobs of matter move. i'm willing to edit the code if necessary, but first i want to make sure i'm not reinventing the wheel.

Exciting Website Development
I am a single person company designing an exciting new web application for the general internet community. I am looking for 1 or 2 RoR developers keen to be involved in the development of an online application over the next few months. This project will initially be a free service for all internet user with the option for revenue through other sources later on - hence I am looking for

Problem with 2-ways ANOVA interactions
...imple I am sure. I need an help with an example, looking at one table I am analyzing. The table is in attachment and can be imported in R by means of this command: scrd<- read.table('/Users/luca/Documents/Analisi_passi/Codice_R/Statistics_results_bump_hole_Audio_Haptic/tables_for_R/table_realism_wood.txt', header=TRUE, colClasse=c('numeric','factor','factor','numeric')) This table is the result of a simple experiment. Subjects where exposed to some stimuli and they where asked to evaluate the degree of realism of the stimuli on a 7 point scale (i.e....

CentOS VPN server for iPhone
So far, OpenVPN has been working very well for me. Unfortunately, the iPhone doesn't have (yet?) an OpenVPN client, so I'm forced to work with what's available. The options are: L2TP, PPTP and IPSec. If you were to install a VPN endpoint on CentOS, which protocol would you prefer? The condition is to avoid shabby VPN servers that make the system less secure. I've seen some

...ound to play, but it doesn't or it will play and then sound drops after that, and then most sounds don't play. There are other instances where this also occurs (like luck), but the rescue one is the most reliable one to reproduce. Maps like the Passing and Dark Carnival, and game types like realism have a higher chance as well. I have not noticed any trends on weapons (melee or guns) and items, or characters (survivors or infected). If you turn on captions and play the game, you expect to see readable words. When the sound problems occur, you'll see garbage appear in the captions wheneve...

Assumptions for ANOVA: the right way to check the normality
Dear all, I would like to know which is the right way to check the normality assumption for performing ANOVA. How do you check normality for the following example? I did an experiment where people had to evaluate on a 7 point scale, the degree of realism of some stimuli presented in 2 conditions. The problem is that if I check normality with the Shapiro test I get that the data are not normally distributed. Someone suggested me that I don´t have to check the normality of the data, but the normality of the residuals I get after the fitting of t...

The input placement can be altered on the fly thus apparently moving the input's location while the impression of space the reverb creates holds still. For even more realism, adding an additional delay of 10 ms or so to the reverb (sound travels roughly one meter in 3 ms) can pull the original image closer without losing the impression of reverberation in a medium-to-large hall. A reverb delay also allows the use of a faster/tighter reverb time without losing...
